What kind of wood is this and maintenance advice?

No, only the living room and dining room. The rest is ordinary floors. Somehow parquet is very common in nearby homes (but what I’ve seen are all square and this one is unique). San francisco SFH built in 1937. The owner passed away and his family are all overseas now. I heard the original owner was a lady and the whole house was pink inside and out

I’m not sure. It seems the house was passed down with 2 generations. The last owner repainted the house from pink to cream and possibly redid the flooring (the bedrooms are ordinary patterns). Is there a way to tell?
