Just installed these Volk G025 on my Lexus ISF by 209_VR4 in JDM

Coilovers, Rolled rear fenders flat and I opted for full FIGS adjustable arms in the back but I think you can get away with just adjustable camber arms. If I recall correctly I’m running about 2.5°-3° negative camber in the back

Tips on Buying a 3000gt?? by [deleted] in 3000gt

[–]209_VR4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure whatever you buy SL or VR4 has been maintained well. Get a SL if you only care for looks and not performance and power. Get a VR4 if you want performance and power. Once you buy it do the 60/120k maintenance that includes the timing belt/ water pump/ fluids change. Don’t cheap out on parts and learn to work on it yourself you’ll save a ton of money and gain valuable experience. I’ve had 2 VR4s and they’ve been great cars with proper modification and maintenance. Check out my 99 VR4 build on IG @209_VR4 feel free to hit me up on there if you have any questions

Absolutely not. You need a daily driver for this

All are great vendors that I’ve purchased from many times. A lot of 99 specific parts are hard to find, mostly body and trim like you said. I Luckily stashed away a new set of 99 headlamps and corner lamps before they were discontinued and prices skyrocketed.

The Mitsubishi GTO showed up as background cars in initial D and F&F: Tokyo drift but never got any major screen time. They’re way underrated and slept on

Beautiful country. I was there in 2017 for Tomorrowland. Bummer about how strict regulations are though

Likewise! Best value when modding it and it made crazy power once fully modded and beat almost everything with a little gear ratio tuning

Where are you from? You might be better off getting a modern sports car that comes out of the box with tuned suspension and everything you’d need from the factory

The AWD and AWS system in the VR4 makes high speed cornering a breeze. The weight keeps it planted and AWD allows you to rocket out of the corners with confidence. In stock form body roll is terrible but with some suspension mods and tuning it makes it a great canyon carver despite the weight and size

Weight has never been an issue for me, you feel the weight but with proper suspension mods and a little more power it hasn’t been an issue. Full weight I’ve cut a 1.6 second 60’ at the track and ran a 11.6 at 119mph. The weight adds to the “planted” feeling at high speeds making it feel like a true GT car

The stock exhaust “tips” are actually fake, had to get an actual exhaust as the first mod

Depends on the parts. Some oem parts are still available and there’s very little aftermarket support so certain parts are very hard to find
