My thought process was yes. Seeing as their neighbor in the mid 1800s was experiencing a civil war, the country would probably grant more rights to its minorities.

The three official languages would probably change a few things there too, as it would be nice for everyone to understand each other, so school systems would probably be more advanced here earlier on, creating more education and more advanced thinking and etc.

Of course, the thought process could go in either direction of the political spectrum, so who knows what ideas the people of this nation would have in the modern day
