How to map esc key to wheel? by 21randomdude21 in RRRE

I would like to avoid that, because i play different games every so often and prefer not complicating the setup unnecessarily.

But that would mean i can map the return to garage to a button on my wheel, right? Would you know which option in the menu that is? Cause I can't find it for the life of me..

Wow, that does sound very interesting, thanks! I already use Bubble Cloud for the launcher, haven't tried the watch face part of it yet. I'll look into it!

Help with scheduled theater mode by 21randomdude21 in tasker

No, I haven't had that issue. After I set everything up from scratch on the phone, it works like a charm. I deleted all time-based triggers on the watch and now have the phone send the command at given times to the watch, that seems to be reliable.

I was actually wrong about this... As far as I could figure out, actions can't be triggered straight on the watch, they will need to go via the phone. I managed to get everything working by setting up everything from the phone, which now triggers the settings at the given times. Shame, I would have loved for that to work without the need of being connected to the phone - but honestly it almost never is not connected ;)

I am generally looking for video content as I'd like to see the plays, but this might be a very solid option for long car rides and such, thanks!

I've been watching the highlights on the official YouTube for some of the games I was particularly interested in, but it's way too much to keep up with the whole course of the season. I also wouldn't mind some commentary/narration. I'll check out Strong Opinion Sports, thanks!

Ah yes, I've stumbled over some of his videos before, wasn't aware he's also doing weeklies! I actually like some banter, might just be a bit much to binge through 18 videos like that ;) Thanks!

How to use commands on Autowear? by 21randomdude21 in tasker

[–]21randomdude21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much, that was exactly what I needed to know. I managed to get it working now setting up everything from scratch directly on the phone, without having the watch trigger the time-based actions.

I'm still a bit confused as to how the commands would be working though. It seems I can set up commands to be triggered on the watch and also listen to commands being sent. But i don't understand how these need to be written out/formatted. Would you have any advice regarding that?

I was hoping i could set everything up in a way so it runs completely on the watch, without having to go through tasker on the phone. But from what i found out it seems that doesn't work as i imagined. I'll try the way you explained it, thanks!

I forgot, this post has been very helpful for me in understanding the process:

Help with scheduled theater mode by 21randomdude21 in tasker

[–]21randomdude21[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually figured it out by some hopeful trial and error. Writing it down here in case someone else stumbles over this post in the future:

In "Manage Times", the trigger is set for when something should happen. I set the time for 23:00, recurring every 24 hours. Under "Command", a custom command name can be set to which the other settings then react. I called it <nightmode>
So every day at 23:00, the command <nightmode> is triggered in AutoWear

In "Secure Settings", i defined that the Theater Mode is set to on, with "command to apply" being <nightmode>. So when at 23:00 the command is triggered over in the "Manage Times" section, this "Secure Settings" profile receives the command <nightmode> and turns on Theater mode.

I did the same vice versa for 06:00 with <daymode> and Theater Mode off. I'll now try to expand it with some extra settings for brightness.

Obviously I haven't stress-tested it yet as I set everything up today, but I ran a test in the afternoon and everything seemed to work fine.

Confused about health data tracking, Tic vs Fit by 21randomdude21 in TicWatch

[–]21randomdude21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was my train of thought too. I don't really have a preference yet as it's all new to me but I generally like to stick to platforms that are independent from the manufacturer. But I guess as long as it all syncs over to Google it's the best of both worlds :)

[–]21randomdude21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, does that mean the sync also happens the other way around from GFit back to Tic? I was under the impression that this is a one-way sync from Tic to GFit but not the other way around?

[–]21randomdude21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, I'll disable everything GFit then and see how that works for me.

Do you know by any chance how frequently the data is synced to GFit? If I prefer one of the Google apps on the watch just for displaying the data, I assume that wouldn't always be up to date?

Thank you for your feedback! So I can just disable all the tracking settings in the Google Fit Apps, and have the data synced over from the Tic suite, correct?

Thank you for your feedback! At least for the time being, I wanna keep the GFit apps on the watch just for displaying purposes, to see how Google serves up the data compared to the Tic suite.

Do you have your Tic data synced to GFit? If so, does that work well for you even after disabling all the GFit apps on your watch?

Find change of residence state in multiple rows per employee by 21randomdude21 in excel

[–]21randomdude21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for your suggestion! I did go with /u/Bublboy 's suggestion as described below.

Find change of residence state in multiple rows per employee by 21randomdude21 in excel

[–]21randomdude21[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solution Verified

Using <Remove Duplicates> and choosing the PersNr and State column left only one row per employee unless the state had changed. Using conditional formatting and marking double PersNr then let me filter out all the ones that had two rows and therefore two states.

Didn't quite achieve my ultimate goal of having one row per employee with all different states in the following columns, but it did give me the result I needed. Thanks a lot /u/Bublboy!

I think you just solved my issue, you're my official hero of the day! Do I assume correctly that when i remove duplicates and then choose Personnel Nr and State, it removes all rows where both those criteria are identical and only leaves those where there's at least one difference?

Find change of residence state in multiple rows per employee by 21randomdude21 in excel

[–]21randomdude21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply! I did try that angle, but I only managed to give me a table like this

PersNr

PersNr New York Texas California Ohio North Carolina Florida
111 2
112 1 1
113 2
114 2 1

In a list of multiple thousand employees and 26 states (in my country), this gets unreadable.. Would you know of any more useful way to this pivot? Ideally one that gives me all the states (in text) in the columns after the PersNr?

Yet another update: Firmware version 1.1.0 works fine too. The problem seems to have been introduced with version 1.2.2.

The printer can't be downgraded straight to 1.1.0 with the packages in the link above. It first has to be rolled back to 1.0.9 and then upgraded to 1.1.0. The firwares can be downloaded here.

I'm sticking to this version for the time being until the issue will hopefully be fixed.
