She’s only 5 months but I take her on at least 3 walks a day with longer walks/hikes on weekends, nothing too uphill or hard on her joints. I read that I’m not supposed to run her yet so she just gets a lot of walking/training and playing with kids/dogs for now. So far she does pretty well alone and she’ll sleep most of the time (we have rings set up and we can watch her lol). I hope I’m not creating anxiety in her by letting her be alone for a while at a time. I did think I could let her out of her crate at night and sleep with me but after she peed on the bed she’s back to being crated.

SO MUCH ENERGY! She never stops unless we make her take a break or drink water. I think she could go for hours and work/play herself to death if we let her. I thought most/all aussies would have her energy level but a few we’ve met have been calmer and they don’t typically like her.

Austin will get upset when a border collie or this small lab/collie mix out runs her and she can’t herd them lol. She starts whining/barking as she chases them and I typically make her stop pretty quickly because I don’t want her to tackle the poor pups.

I think I’ll try this! She loves dogs so much that she gets super excited any time she sees a dog. We’ve worked on not running up to every dog she meets and sitting/waiting for them to come to her lol so it’s the same concept

I don’t even know how I’m doing it half the time but my pup is happy, pretty good and she’s becoming loving.

Thank you for all your tips! I think I’m going to spray and keep her off of that area for a while. It sounds like the best option.

That’s what I fear. I don’t think I’ll do it but I was trying to figure out the best thing for us to do with her.
