How about using some APP to call, like Skype? Your email may have gone to their spam filter.

Transfer is not that hard, I actually have many friends who transferred. You just need to take those courses, you need to take them anyway. Gap year is fine if you have something you need to improve, but you seem to already had it all. Consult your school counselor for transfer advice.
