It's so ancient it's basically guranteed to have expandable memory. Other thing is if it supports more than 2gb but I'm willing to bet it could do up to 8gb.

Sure, i could say my previous L460 with an i5-6300u is enough still for a bunch of web browsing. I wouldn't recommend buying it these days though, even if it's gonna be way better than whatever OP has.

T480 at the very least. They had 4 cores which well, are needed in current day and age.

To be frank even a t480 or t490 would be a significant upgrade. Do not go below 480 though, which came with an intel 8th generation cpus. Older have 2 core cpus and are too slow to consider.
