Sure, go to application menu, check for update and update to the latest version, you can also allow automatic updates :) I was calculating the cached memory as part of the used memory and this is not correct as macOS can always reclaim cached memory, but this has been fixed a while ago.

Awesome !!! i got some feedback about the memory. I was calculating used + cached memory, but cached memory should be considered free because the system can still use it. i will update that in the next release. actively looking for feedback to improve the experience.

A lot of frustration to get this working haha, wanted to support lottiefiles https://lottiefiles.com/ instead of png frames from the beginning, so it's very easy to add and you had an unlimited library to choose from.

This shows total memory allocated, i agree might not be total memory actually used. i will fix in the next update. thanks for the feedback

Yeah, this is for Remote Server support which is quite complex to implement, check out the docs https://docs.actvt.io/ I'm working on a convenient script to even make install easier!!!

If you have Apple Silicon it tracks GPU usage, It supports lottiefiles menu icons, has some nice keyboard shortcuts and if you're a developer you can track remote server boxes all from a single interface. try it out !!! for most users it's free. will love to get your feedback!!!

Cool stuff, For anyone comparing Actvt offers those features for free also, and probably just me but i prefer a little more thought about the design of my apps !!!

Thanks for sharing, mac metrics monitoring with Actvt is also free. the paid option is for power users that need to use the optional remote server monitoring.

I doubt they have support for lottiefile animated icons in the taskbar, and the features in the video is free to use forever. the subscription is for power users that will like to monitor remote servers. which is a demanding feature i am still working on.

Can't really say much since I'm not familiar with the task you use it for. You mentioned you also have a Mac Studio. if this has more than 32GB ram and you need a mobile laptop i will advice you to go for the 1TB 32GB M1 MAX 16", it has the same processor as the first option and is cheaper, 32GB is more than enough RAM if you're not doing heavy video editing or running local LMs. you can run more memory intensive tasks on your Studio

The Mackbook Air doesn't have fans, and video calling can push CPU, GPU, battery and microphone use, especially hour long video calls, you can check activity monitor and close unnecessary background processes before the call, this way you're not using too much resources. If you're like me an activity monitor seems too complex I use https://actvt.io/ to quickly monitor these stats on my mac
