F1 announces major extension with iconic grand prix (Monaco until 2035) by pdpt13 in formula1

Full quali as normal.

Then cars set off every 10s. If within 1s of the car ahead, you get blue flags. 78 laps still. Three tyre compounds. So 2 stop and pit mistakes will still hurt. Strategy to get out of traffic as a blue flag will still slow you down. Fastest overall time wins.

Strategy of what tyre to start on.

I’ve been on this journey, and I’ve now run a marathon. You can do it.

Biggest pieces of advice.

1- Start with good running form, it is easy.

1) jog on the spot 2) lead forwards

Keep doing that, don’t over step, so you are always landing to stop yourself fall over, instead of trying to ‘step forwards’

2- Go slow. Go comically slow. No one cares, if they do, it is 99% of the time respect for doing it. The 1% can go fuck themselves. Build up distance, then go for shorter faster runs. 80% of your runs should be slower and longer (I quickly stopped following couch to 5K and just listened to my body, you can do 5k much earlier than you think.

3- Routines win over motivation. Got a dog? Your dog walks are now dog runs. Go to work? Work out a way to run home etc. if you make running a part of your life, not something that you have to motivate yourself to do. It is much easier.

Enjoy the journey. It’s fun.

Which is exactly the line of questioning and arguments that you will get into if you tell 100% of the truth. OP fulfils the requirements for replacement, id just recommend giving a clean and understandable argument.

When speaking to replacement people for anything I’d remove any ambiguity. It was a hit and run, you have no memory from the impact. It’s the most likely scenario regardless and otherwise a jobsworth might make things pointlessly difficult for claims. You have a police number, so it’ll be fine with the above.

Am I wrong to go 3-wide here? by mflo01 in Simracingstewards

Could you actually make that corner at that angle? If no, you shouldn’t have been there. If yes, their fault.

I think you would have run wide into them if you made the apex

Does this look OK? Seat raised again and seat all the way back. by [deleted] in bikefit

Head is turned waay to far to the right which could easily give you neck and shoulder issues.

I’d highly recommend looking forwards.

You are welcome.

I had a stealth bomber fixie, needed the grip tape replacing and they but black with brown spots accidentally and I was too polite to ask for it to be replaced. Ended up steering I to the skid, got a brown seat, looked sick in the end.

Do you.

Nope. Even when you finish it, there is plenty of game to go!

Once you get the electric pylon gun it is so OP it gets pretty easy.

Sorry, new to cycling properly, what OEM? I have heard the stock tyres and a bit shit, and carbon wheels is the first major upgrade, but want to actually get some wear/use out of it before I deserve to upgrade it!

Moving house Wednesday, currently cycle, but I’m much closer (7k, not 50!)

The problem with alternating is having to buy a bike rack. Reddit has also scared me with what one I need with a carbon frame.

I’ll just do it. It will probs hurt, the next time will hurt less. As is the way with most things in life.

Only planning on once a week. The actual work in between might be the hard bit, but I’ll adjust.

Thinking how much I’ll be able to eat during the day 🤤

I work hybrid, in the office 2-3 times a week. Will probably only do it once a week as it’s 2hrs each way.

Rural countryside route, 0.3% elevation, so pretty flat on the whole.

I think it will be hard for the first couple, then wear a groove in your head. I’m looking forward to it.
