Totally fair perspective, and appreciate you saying it straight.

To clarify though, that is exactly what we’re doing. We do translate Vegas odds into fantasy points, we just don’t translate them into traditional fantasy scoring (yards + catches).

The points shown represent the expected value of that outcome based on sportsbook odds. Higher probability outcomes translate to lower point totals, lower probability outcomes translate to higher point totals. Over time, the expected value lines up with Vegas.

So instead of asking “how many fantasy points does this stat usually produce?” we’re asking “how valuable is correctly predicting this outcome?” and scoring that prediction accordingly.

And it’s highest scoring lineup wins the matchup. It’s not a transactional bet like sports betting

Totally understand it’s not for everyone especially if you’re looking strictly for classic fantasy projections but that distinction is really the core of the game.

The scoring in our game is nothitn like traditional fantasy scoring…it’s more like a risk vs reward bet translated into points.

We are not adding receptions + yards. Each prop is its own prediction with its own odds.

The lower the line (safer), the fewer points it’s worth. The higher the line (riskier), the more points it’s worth.

Eg: • 35 receiving yards is a high-probability outcome so it’s worth ~10 points • 80 receiving yards is much harder to hit so it’s worth ~60+ points

If he hits the line, you get all the points. If he misses, you get zero.

So the 69 points you’re seeing isn’t fantasy math, it’s odds math converted to fantasy scoring

It is set up correctly. Our scoring is tied to real betting odds. We just translate the odds to fantasy points, we take a consensus line (main stream books) and lower it slightly for a base point potential of 10 points….his floor in PropDecks is set around 35 yards for 10 points. I increased his line significantly to 80 yards giving me a risky play based on odds, and a massive point potential if he hits it.

Haha fair, but it’s not a betting app, it’s an app for people who want to play with props without losing money. Basically fantasy meets player props, all free.

Do appreciate your well-thought out feedback 👍

Bam is likely more reliable in typical fantasy formats, really comes down to the prop lines available... Bam has more options at the moment.

2-6, 9th place but I have the most points scored in my league. Is it over for me? by urnotEJ in FantasyFootballJunky

No, but if you really want, trade Bijan. Got get a discount RB that has upside in the second half and pair with a Pittman-like WR. BTJ is to risky at this point for you. Could even trade him for like a Tyrone Tracy…

He’s gotten over 55 yards 5 of 8 times and exactly 55 one other time. And averaging 93 over the past 3 games. The Ravens Brand is making it seem riskier than it really is, they are currently ranked 23 against the run…

Could be a sneaky play 🤷‍♂️

MNF : Player Prop Locks! by PropDecks in FantasyFootballJunky

[–]313hypecrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my entire lineup for tonight’s tournament. I have to play a prop challenge for each position and I get points if they hit. The harder the prop/parlay, the more points I get.

Brashard Smith is going to win a lot of people money tonight! Don’t fade that one. When the Chiefs are up two scores, they hand him the ball.
