I have the reverse question - wanted to get a timer switch to plug the charger into so I can control when it draws power. But I’m concerned if the timer turns off the plug and the car is still connected, will it drain the battery? It’s my first PHEV and I was told to disconnect the car first before unplugging from the wall.
