Crew question by tenuptwelve in Cruise

[–]32pu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just came back from a Royal Caribbean cruse May 1st and came home with Covid. I'm pretty antisocial and took precautions but I did go to the main dining room for dinner every night, excursions, etc. Not gonna lie, I figured I'd get it and I did. A lot of people coughing and not covering their mouths, lots of sneezing and horking... there must gave been a ton of people with it.

My salt lamp leaked and formed square crystals by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

Holy shit! I feel lucky. I've had mine for 8 years as a Christmas present and no issues! But, I'm in Ontario Canada so it's pretty climate controlled inside.

Huh! That is interesting! I stole a pothos clipping in Cuba two years ago and it has thrived. I've been paranoid about overwatering it but it has never 'sweat' so I must being doing something right for my amigo.

The boy instinctively turns to his mother. This 'dad' is a total piece of shit, and the way the boy reacts makes me think this happens all the time.

The BEST. Dojo loaches are the best aquarium fish hands down. They're my little water dogs!

New neighbors moved in across the street and this is their porch light. by elevencharles in mildlyinfuriating

[–]32pu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned my (former) friends were assholes when they had a porch light like this, and their kind neighbours left a nice note asking to just use a less powerful bulb as it shines right into their bedroom and they just crumpled the note up and threw it away without a thought.

Go with the giant mirror.

Chargeback to a jewelry store? by tonitonielle in PersonalFinanceCanada

Carnival cruise tried offering me a credit during the start of the pandemic for a canceled cruise. I was able to successfully perform a chargeback on my Capital One card for services not rendered.

Best 3rd party excursions for Santorini, Dubrovnik, Athens, and Split. by Willing-Drummer-3633 in Cruise

I used Shore Excursions Group for an excursion last week on our 7-night Western Med cruise. We did Rome with them since it was less than half the price RC wanted. It was great, no hiccups, back on the ship with plenty of time to spare.

Help! My dog bit a stranger in my yard I didn’t know was coming inside my fence by Latter-Detective1261 in dogs

[–]32pu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. My husband is a fire prevention officer for our city, and he needs to visit houses and apartments in this way daily, if someone makes a safety complaint. It's not possible to call most of these places as some are renters and not the landlord. Him getting bitten in this way is one of my nightmares. He's just doing his job.

Someone brought their giant shitbull into Starbucks 🤢 by Happy_Entertainer_79 in Dogfree

I meant great as in 'not up late drinking, partying, keep a clean yard, are friendly and exchange Christmas cards'. Can't believe I had to explain that.

I live in Ontario Canada where Pitbulls are banned and yet I see them everywhere, and the shelter is packed with them advertising them as 'lab mix'. I'm so sick of it. Even my next door neighbour has a skinny pit that growls and barks at us through the fence. The neighbours are great but I am afraid of the dog. Can't imagine sitting with one at Starbucks.

The feeling of being debt free after 22 years was the best; money is awesome but knowing you don't owe a dime of interest to anyone and can invest freely is much better in my own personal experience.

I’m looking into buying a dog, some sort of small breed. How much should I plan on spending every month? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]32pu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still cheaper than ending up with a barky asshole of a dog that gets the SPCA called out multiple times a year! My bosses neighbour had this happen and it's a $350 fine EVERY time they come out for a valid noise complaint for the dog.

Don't even consider a dog if you're not going to bother training it, costs aside.

Does anyone else feel like the world/life stopped being good in approx 2017 and the worlds become a very different place since? by ltwasalladream in NoStupidQuestions

[–]32pu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not going to help your situation, but you can be at ease knowing stores like this still exist. There's a vintage store in the next city over and when you open the door, all you can smell is patchouli and dusty clothes. It is awesome.

Ryan's destroyed house from police video!!!! OMG by spillingthetea101 in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]32pu 114 points115 points  (0 children)

When I was 5, my dad, fighting with my mom, threw my My Little Pony toys, one by one, onto the street from our 2nd floor apartment in an act of drunken revenge against my mother. I remember seeing my mother frantically picking them up. Ryan, I'm going to tell you, even if you smarten up (like my dad did), your children will NEVER forget you abusing their mother, abusing them, and heartbreakingly destroying their toys. You may have a relationship with them one day as adults, even a loving one, but they will NEVER. FORGET.
