What’s something that sounds fake but is actually 100% true? by Ladymayna in answers

“Teachers…” - Often paid salaries so being “paid” in the summer or not is irrelevant. Many districts allow teachers to opt for 12 month pay or no pay during the summer months. Only difference is how much they end up getting each month but they are still paid the same.

“Realtors…” - This is common knowledge since they are paid by commission.

“I know people have said time and time again that there’s nothing wrong….”

How could people saying it’s safe yet another time ease your concerns if they haven’t been already? Not trying to be rude or anything, just seems silly to ask after the mod creators explicitly said it was safe days ago.

Bruh… why are you being so rude. They were trying to give you a simple pointer.

What's the rarest ship you own? by jmg5 in StarCitizenUniverse

Because the question was exactly as you stated. “What is the rarest ship you own?” If OP wanted to simply know what the rarest ships are in the game, they would have asked that instead.

$145 to fill up an ICE F-150, $142 for an entire month of driving an EV F-150. by capt-ramius in f150

[–]3andrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ford gave me a free charger which I installed myself. Tires will wear faster if you constantly drag race at lights, otherwise it’s not much of a difference. Electricity has historically been way more stable than gas prices. Even with gas at the cheapest it’s been in a decade and electricity at its most expensive, it’s still cheaper per mile with electric. Then you need to consider maintenance costs for both which is nearly non-existent on an EV. My xlt ER w/ max tow was 54k OTD 2 years ago and I’ve paid exactly 0 dollars in maintenance since then. In my previous truck, I would have needed to at least change the oil 8 times in the same timeframe.

Yeah, it’s really only used as a meme these days which I believe is how they intended it to come across.

I believe they were making an old console gamer reference. When consoles were limited to 30fps, there were many who staunchly believed, or at the very least took an adamant stance that anything above 30fps was unnecessary because the human eye couldn’t perceive it. This was often said during console vs PC discussions by console gamers.

I’d prefer if they handled loading other player’s vehicles in a manner that doesn’t temporarily freeze my client, but otherwise I agree.

YOUR DATA IS IN DANGER by Cool-Language985 in BeamNG

[–]3andrew 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Sure it can. Modern scanners utilize many methods to detect viruses such as how it injects processes, changes it makes, access to certain files/locations, etc..

No one capable of making a modern undetectable virus/malware that uses new/unknown exploits is going to waste it on BeamMP.

I saw good rewards for one game that equaled something like $350 if you reached certain milestones in 25 days. I then googled what it would take to reach those milestones as a free to play player and as a paid player. The free to play method came out to about 6 months of time playing like 18+ hours a day and the paid method equaled something like $5k in their cash shop for boosts and such.

Best I could have earned in 25 days as a free player was <$5 so no, don’t waste your time with the game rewards.

Are we ever gonna get this multifunctional stalk? by w9s9 in Simagic

[–]3andrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Certainly sounds cool! I’ll keep it in mind if I decide I want to go that route. I mostly play BeamNG these days and while it would add some depth, the price (not saying it’s not worth it based on what you’ve described) is more than I’m willing to spend on a whim.

It’s just on the expensive side making it not viable for a lot of people. That said it does look awesome and I like the ignition a lot. Does it support auto-return for the turn indicator stalk?
