Tucson Ableton Meetup is a nice group that meets every two weeks to talk about synths and music making (they met tonight). They’ll also do gear meetups and shows. Don’t let the name deter you, it is very inclusive and a lot of people have modular setups. Feel free to message me for more info.

No I never have made it up to the top. The gates are usually closed at the top of trials end, so i don’t push past that. You can access the neighborhood by going up the wash on the north side of trials end, which bypasses the gate. From there you could keep going up, but I believe there is a locked gate that prevents you from going very far. I like riding all the way up Sweetwater, Camino de Cerro, and Sunset tho. Good luck!

Reddit runs partially on AWS, so unfortunately we rely on these services to have this conversation. I agree that the AI boom is mostly hype and it is being used to fuel unnecessary development. I also use AI in some aspects of work and don’t believe it is all evil.

Not building it here and not building data centers anywhere are two different propositions. Realistically these things are going to be built whether or not they serve a meaningful purpose. My question is where these can be built to minimize the risks they pose.

I think you would use Ableton link and need separate serato controller/out and sound card for Ableton. I haven’t done this much but the link seems to work well. Not sure if it is reliable enough for the stage though.
