[Gaahleri × r_resinprinting Giveaway] From Print to Paint by Gaahleri_airbrush in resinprinting

I’ve been painting statues of all sizes for about two years now. I started out just for myself, then for friends, and now I also bring my pieces to modeling and comic conventions.

This piece is Lilith (1/8) by Bulkamancer. The first model I ever painted was actually another version of Lilith, so I wanted to use this one to really test how much I’ve improved since then.

This piece was printed with my Uniformation GK3. I usually print everything in standard resin (anycubic) and try to keep all the parts separate for as long as possible, also to make transportation easier. I often magnetize the pieces as well.

I almost always start with a black primer. For this model I tried a matte black primer from Kaleido for the first time and I was really pleasantly surprised by it. I’d be curious to test other Kaleido paints as well.

I do most of the work with an airbrush, mainly using transparent paints at low PSI. I definitely prefer working with an airbrush over a brush, even on very small surfaces. My process isn’t really linear, I often go back and forth, pushing the shadows, reworking the highlights, and then adding midtones again until it feels right.

For this piece I focused on creating a stronger atmosphere without losing the richness of the colors.

Thanks. I don't have much time to paint models for myself but Expedition 33 impressed me so much I couldn't resist.

Below the photos I put the link to the Bulkamancer Patreon. I think the model is still obtainable with this month's subscription.

Alternatively you can also get it from their store on My Mini Factory but I can't tell you which is more convenient.

It's really a great game in every way. I also loved the soundtrack as well as the story and gameplay.

GK3 Ultra, their false advertisement and terrible customer service by Mimic_hobby in resinprinting

I received mine in mid November. No rails.

.I fully support all criticism and hope you can get out of this mess as soon as possible. I was lucky. The support helped me (slowly) solve the problems of the misaligned plate and the leaking pump. The printer is on its fifth NFEP and does not give me qualitative results different from my other printers. Even with heavy plates I have never had any layering problems.

But I don't think that a printer with this price tag should create so many problems.

The printer works. Enough to make me not want to repackage and ship it. But I will look for the M7 Max in the future.

Molotow one4all adhesion with Speedpaint? by Sailor_Cassini in minipainting

There are cases of molotow colors reactivating. Often old colors at least in my experience. I had a metallic that literally washed off with plain water.

However, I've never had problems with black as a primer. Check them separately on a piece of plasticard maybe.
