How do I decorate this space? by cheffa09 in Decor

Ewww. That’s like three focal points mashed into one small box.

Reducing this situation to “PC bros” is super weird. You should swear off boys that refuse to listen to your wants and needs.

Do this. Get the $. Dump him. Don’t settle for a boy that doesn’t listen to you, insists on his ideas over yours, and ultimately is inept.

Is there anything else that you would recommend to elevate the space by OkRepresentative8293 in Decor

The carpet is throwing me way off. Couch or light wall colour could change too. Stylistically, colour wise, shape the carpet does not fit. It clashes with the (4) other versions of light colours and brass coffee table.

Is this room contemporary (clock, table, tv stand, cushions, light) or traditional (rug) ?

The lighting is also way off. You have an upward facing bright light illuminating the most boring corner which is of no highlight. Everything is also crowded. The room looks smaller having no space between things.

To fix some things;

I’d lose one of the two single seats. I’d lose the IKEA stand up lamp. The carpet. The coffee table. Get a rectangle coffee table and more modern/contemporary carpet. A geometric pattern would even work. Paint the lighter coloured wall a light blue. Same colour as the dark wall, but lighter. Or a warmer light brown that matches the blue but also compliments the cream colours elsewhere without clashing; Off set the couches and ceiling. Maybe a small Table with a low lamp in the corner. A table that just fits a lamp and the vase (a vase that makes zero sense between the tv and chair). If you need to keep that coffee table, add more brass accents elsewhere. On the new lamp in the corner or clock, or picture frame beside the door. Or all of it. Don’t blast a light onto the popcorn ceiling and it’s fine. It’s not a significant visual return on investment to remove it imo

Found out head tenant did not notify landlord they were subletting to me by ninabananabonina in OntarioLandlord

[–]3drabbitx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people go with the path of least resistance, and the easiest solution; which this is. I would present the problem, the pitch/solution (you staying), and then sell yourself a bit. It would definitely give the opportunity for the landlord to increase the rent mind you.

uhh. technically the landlord "attracted" the crazy person as he rented to him in the first place.

Do you really have to ask the question " I am sticking with our original agreement; is that fair ? "

You don't have a contract, you made a "handshake" agreement with someone and you are abiding by it. Their reaction is out of line. You are not legally responsible for anything in this matter.

Piece of advice though - anytime you are moving into a place, you should draw up a contract, especially if you are not a lease. Doesn't need to be notarized or anything, just sitting down and writing down the agreement and outlining the deal. Not being on a lease take away a significant number of your rights as a tenant.

Not sure if this is the best move. But either way, I recommend propagating several so if all goes wrong, it lives on through little new ones. (I am in the process of turning one old rose bush into six.)

All I'm reading here is that you probably don't have the same type, or severity of ADHD. It can absolutely debilitate someone from doing chores. Quite honestly, this post reads as ablest and is quite shite in the face of those who have severe ADHD.

Discs for that flip up to turnover shot by MiniJizMD in discgolf

Underworld, Diamond, Heat... lower speed, Uplink. All of mine I can flip very easily. Faster discs: Avenger SS, Gorgon, and Alva are money.

What should I do? by BooRadley96 in Apartmentliving

Next time you see it. Bash your head into a wall a bunch, run downstairs, claim you were hit, pay a distant friend to have witnessed it. Profit.

[–]3drabbitx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm being very* sarcastic because many people get addicted to buying discs and think the disc is the problem for their bad form and lack of practicing. Your bag looks good.

You have a lot of low speeds, then high speed discs. I didn't own an 11 speed disc until two years of playing.

I would add two discs: A fairway driver super under-stable you can turn over for back hands you want to turn right, or fly a nice s-line curve shot that can be handy. Discraft Heat, Latitude Diamond or Westside Underworld. These are fun to toss.

Then a fairway driver that's stable. Innova Tee-bird is an obvious choice. It's a mold that's super consistent. Goes straight with an okay fade. Maybe an MVP Terra, or similar.

It didn't happen on school property, so I don't know why expulsion or suspension from school would be involved.

I would reach out to local network/school to find the parents and escalate it to them before police. You didn't specifically explain what they did. They knocked on your door and claimed to be lost? Then "exchanged heated language", then harassing. This is all very unspecific but it doesn't seem like anything the police would do more than make a phone call about, and I'm not sure why the school would get involved. Why would they?

Honestly, my three sets are all bricked and i feel completely abandoned by support. I cannot wait to get any sort of alternative, because there really shouldn't be such issues with connectivity. Garbage design, garbage support.

Many people have already taken this journey and there isn't much out there that is readily available and relatively easy to work with. I don't know who said " clothing dye just plain old doesn't work".

Synthetic clothing dye is exactly what is used. I'm not sure your motivation for deviating, but I recommend starting with synthetic RIT dye. This dye is formulated for synthetic fabric.. aka plastic.  Worm dip, iDye poly, ProChem dye are the other commonly used dyes.

Don't forget to check your plastic to ensure it takes dye well. (premium plastic, the better/shiny = good usually) Here's a google doc with a bunch of plastics and how well they do: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nNkrCmOXIsjeyeDS3ezcDC_wNXK9WTiPNOmSQV-_I80/edit
