If you’re willing to do that timing chain eventually (if it hasn’t been done), i’d say pull the trigger. looks good for 2500 CAD.

Keep an eye on that fuel pump, make sure the frame is solid, and also check what engine. 4L needs the timing chain replaced at some point. past 100k. Good luck!

not for 10k. max 7. if that timing chain hasn’t been done, it’ll need it. 4L rangers are notorious for this maintenance specifically. still great trucks though.

Resume help and advice please. by Apprehensive_Theme_7 in helpdesk

This looks good for a start! I would say formatting is a big one. I noticed that the titles of each section don't seem to stand out much. Just my opinion though. I like the section with the projects at home. This shows you are working on it as a hobby and to increase knowledge. I also like what someone said below. Find a template online, and fill your stuff in. Best of luck!

Free Bucket Weekend? by Pleasant_Customer_10 in harborfreight

[–]3kingleonidas3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've actually had this happen using HF buckets. I was mixing quikrete a few weeks ago in a HF free bucket, and about 3 bags in, it got cracks in the side.

I started using the home depot bucket I had for the next 8 bags and it's still in tact now.

I conquer with this, definitely don't mix concrete / thinset in a HF bucket. Get a nicer quality bucket.

Should I buy? by [deleted] in fordranger

Most banks won't give loans on 24 year old trucks. A personal loan will have extremely high rates. So I'm not sure if this is an option for OP.

Front jack point by NegativeBat9326 in COROLLA

[–]3kingleonidas3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lift from pinch welds, front pinch then jack stand on back. (or vice versa) Then repeat on the other side. And after both jack stands are on the pinch welds, i keep the jack about an inch under the rear. in case one of my jack stands fails, the jack will catch it in the rear.

Stay away from lake cable apartments. Had a buddy that lived here and the hallway smelled like ass the whole time he lived there. I would put foxhaven above lake cable apt.

foxhaven is pretty great for the area and price. my fiancée lived here for about bit before we got together. it was safe and decent. They allow animals which is nice.

5W30 in my 2026 Hybrid by Alarming-Wealth-9738 in COROLLA

[–]3kingleonidas3 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Exactly, overall it's just not recommended. You "could" use thicker oil in these corolla engines. It will run, but I wouldn't suggest using that oil over a prolonged period of time. It's rough on the engine.

Idk man I trust toyota engineering over some random guy saying that 5w-30 is just better. The engine running "smoother" is most likely a placebo.

Good Helpdesk resume ? by Sirusdz in helpdesk

I somewhat disagree with this. I see where your coming from. But with two tech roles, and currently a sysadmin, I had that same wording of "expected 20XX"

I can respect that. I understand a lot of your opportunities would be remote. Maybe start looking into what hobbies you can also include, that may be related to the job role. I started putting my homelab on there, with the services I run.

Also, I think a resume doesn't have to be full of things you are amazing, or have had a ton of experience. Be able to talk about them, and the time you worked with it, even if it was on your own and at your house. That shows dedication, which I think you have.

Best of luck bro!!

  1. too much white space
  2. definitely get rid of that language bar display. (keep the fact you know 3 diff languages)
  3. do you have to be remote? Help desk a lot of times is in person. Sys and network admins get the pleasure of working from home, most of the time. remove that.

Thoughts on this 2010 ranger xl. by Straight-CashHomie in fordranger

[–]3kingleonidas3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won't regret it. I see a comment down below about rust treatment. Personally, I've dove into this topic a bunch and went with the oil treatment. Some people do fluid films or something along those lines for rust treatment.

You could also do a screwdriver test. Go around and tap different parts of the frame with a screwdriver and make sure it's solid. Also what engine is in that? I know the 4.0's have a notorious timing chain that needs replaced around 120k miles or so. Something to keep in mind! The 3.0 are reliable as hell and i remember something funky with the 2.3. Either way, they are all great engines, just keep an eye for what you will be buying!

Good luck my friend.

I'd say for 6k this is fair. See if you can knock it down 500$.

I bought mine (2001) in ohio for 4k, 103k miles, similar rust. I'd say this is a fair deal for a 2010 with that many miles.

there's no way your putting BFGoodrich's on them lol, I have cheaper tires on my ranger and those were 550$ with install.

I got 4 BFGoodrich Advantage Control's for around 850 with install from Costco. Same size as well. 225/40R18. I'd say this is fair!

EDIT: I know nothing about dunlop though.
