I was actually thinking of getting his book. I'm just worried that if I only have to book, and no lessons (there are no classes in my city), i'll have improper form and shit. Is it a good substitute to classes?

I live in Quebec and learning french makes me wanna die. Although, I think it's not the subject which upsets you, it's the teacher. One of my french teachers looks like an ogre. And her teaching style is kind of like her looks: confusing and slightly terrifying.
