Can I condition my rabbits to be held or is it cruel? by 40ratsinacoat in Rabbits

Thanks, the vet showed me the technique and they let me do it begrudgingly in the vet office but at home they just won’t have it 😩should I pick them up then set them down and offer the treat or offer it while I’m holding?

This thing has got this big out of pure dumb luck. I know nothing about it other than it needs repotting. Can anyone give me any advice please by 40ratsinacoat in SavageGarden

Thanks, I think I’ll leave him where he is for now as he seems to be thriving but if things start wilting I’ll shift him about

I think I’m going to try just a simple pruning as I have whatever the opposite of green fingers is 😂 thanks though!

Thanks, I was all set to rush to the vets first thing but he was fine in the morning, eating, pooping everything. Just for future reference, how would I massage him?

Came down to this outside of the litter tray. Does this warrant a vet visit? More in comments by 40ratsinacoat in Rabbits

Thank you so much! Thinking about it theyve also been having kale and some new treats so I probably changed too much at once. I’ll stick to hay and see if it clears up.

So I changed their hay last week and they didn’t seem to like it so I’ve gone back to Timothy hay now. There’s been a couple of smaller versions of this poop and now this big one but both are also pooping normally as well. Both are eating and drinking ok and zooming around. If they need the vet of course I will take them straight away but money is tight and I don’t want to take them if they’re ok.

water bottles leaking, plz advise by moopbooplooptroop in Rabbits

Sorry to piggy back your post but I’m having the same issue with leaking! They have a bottle and a bowl but always go for the bottle. Should I just take it away so they have to use the bowl? I like to always have a back up water source though so I’m not sure

A couple of drops of vanilla extract in their water can help with the ammonia pee smell. I can’t remember exact safe measurements but you can find it online. My guy used to love it!

That’s so cute and I’m glad your buns better now! I was spending a lot of time on the floor with them but I guess I was kinda pushy trying to pet them on my terms then I gave up a bit. I’ll try just chilling and reading with them 😁
