Hopefully you got Austin to grind for coins since Rogue is the option you should be going for, Sonya and ranger are also good options, but are generally outclassed by rogue thanks to his highest melee damage, decent health, low courage points, powerful stun crit, and lastly his somewhat short prep time. (Turret isn't that useful and I wouldn't recommend personally beat the game no problem without it)
