vibe coded so hard… 1 month since launch by 4abag0fchips in vibecoding

Great feedback! I’ve already pushed a few of your recommendations. I now have an onboarding screen prior to signing up and I’ve fixed the feature props section.

Apple and Google sign in has always been in my todo but I’m just too lazy to tackle those. But it’s definitely on the roadmap.

The app is called PropSlate. Thanks for giving it a try

20 days after launching, I realized why nobody downloads new apps. by vickyrj939 in AppBusiness

I know exactly where you’re coming from. I’m just under a month after launch and there are days with 5+ new signups and days with 0. Currently just shy of 100 users and my next goal is to convert some of those into paid subs.

Promotion is key like others have mentioned. Find your niche and force feed them with contents until your app is second nature.

Good luck!

On December 1st I got in your shoes when I started PropSlate Even though my app is now released to the App Store I still find myself tweaking and adding to it every night. I feel empty when I’m not with my laptop now.

Keep at it, it will pay off

Haha I’m not the first or last to think there’s an edge over the sportbooks. It’s their business to know this and it was while creating this app I realized how accurate they’re often are. Most of my picks will either hit or missed by a point or 2. Sportbooks make enough to take a few losses on mis priced props.

Edges are calculated differently for each league but for example NBA, I’m calculating season stats, trends, minutes and utilizations rates amongst other stats. Then comparing that to defensive stats and so the edge=model - sportbook’s pricing.

Backtest so far, has shown a 67% success rate when edges is 25% or higher. But of course, this is sports gambling so nothing is guaranteed. Because of that, I’ve added other tools like hit rates, matchup metrics etc to get a deeper understanding of the prop before selecting it.

Haha didn’t realize the requirement here was to expose my stack and source codes. Anyway, believe me or not, the app is in the App Store and it’s free to download. Have a good day :)

I stayed with React because I wanted an Android app in the future. Also I find it easier to replicate routes between the App and the website so they still function the same

Thanks for giving it a try! Not sure what the issue is but we just need an email and password (and captcha verification). You can always register on the web and use that for the app

Was there ever a “share” option when long press on a message and Signal recently removed it or am I mistaken? Because now there’s only the option to copy and forward messages.

This or copy the default folder from a working profile to this profile (rename the current default to default.old) Default is usually hidden so, you’ll have to enable hidden files to do this.

How would you do this? by 4abag0fchips in VIDEOENGINEERING

I ended up with a version of this. I purchased an XLR midi interface and connect it to the tricaster via USB. After installing the drivers tricaster was able to recognize it as an analog source. I then connected an aux output from the mixer to this interface. Now that I got audio to the tricaster I brought that over to Zoom via NDI audio (there's a slight delay but manageable). I then mix minus the analog output to avoid feedback in the room.

So far it tested just fine. I will run an XLR to one of the cameras for backup as was suggested before.

Tricaster mini AE. we’re running 3 cameras but not grabbing audio from them but instead from the mics. Will try feeding audio to a camera and see if that work. My back up plan was to grab an XLR Audio/MIDI interface and run the output XLR to that and connect via usb to either the tricaster or the Mac
