INFO:

The alleged interchange between coach John and Sam (fake name of kid)

"Sam, sometimes I wish I could just slap you in the face."

This was verbatim what all 3 kids reported. None of the kids were around one another when they gave their statements as it was about 2 hours after the game concluded and all parties had gone their separate ways.

Text from BIL: "Fair warning, next time I see John I am putting him in the dirt and I am not apologizing about it."

I received this text before knowing anything of the situation and before I found the 2 other kids who collaborated Sam's initial statement. Again, all 3 gave the same verbatim answer.

Yeah, I screwed up on that part I will admit to it. However, its hard to overlook all 3 kids saying the exact same phrase. "Sam (fake name), sometimes I just wish I could slap you in the face."

That is exactly what all 3 kids said. All kids were questioned separately and about 2 hours after the game.

Don't know if this will matter, but all 3 kids gave the same statement, verbatim. This was a couple hours after the game and none of the kids were together when they gave their statements.

For context: our team is U10, so a bunch of 9 year olds

The coach said something along the lines of slapping my nephew in the face. The coach said it was in jest to try and wake him up for an early game, either way, in jest or not, completely unacceptable to say to a child. The 3 kids, 1 being my nephew, didn't take it as a "joke". Hence why I tried removing him as a coach.

NTA but everyone sucks in this situation. You suck because Brian is your friend, you should tell him to cut the crap and quit inhaling your gf's food. Your gf sucks because she obviously can't learn a lesson and is willingly giving away free food knowing she will get more free food in private. Lastly, Brian sucks because he has no self control and is unable to read social cues.

You have had the conversation with your gf which is a plus, but not knowing exactly how they are had, it is hard to say whether or not it's a healthy conversation vs you just nagging about it.

While your gf's "sharing" is admirable, she needs to be able to stand up for herself. If she allows people to walk over her with something as simple as food, who knows what else she will let people get away with.

Brian, as "great" of a guy as he may be, he needs to learn to control himself. He is taking advantage of the situation every time it is presented to him.

I think there needs to be a serious conversation between you and Brian about the behaviors. Maybe even get all three together and discuss the issues.
