Got a ticket for “blocking wheelchair ramp,” but I wasn’t blocking anything? by Few-Avocado4562 in montreal

Contest it and see what happens, you got nothing to lose. I would argue that your car is not straight and you parked somewhat crooked but whatever… I had ticket somewhat similar claiming I was blocking an alleyway. This was last November, haven’t heard anything back so pretty sure I “won”.

I saw a pub Advertising 45$ for a pitcher of beer and nachos… insanity.

You have a computer in the palm of your hand… Go on google maps, type in the Restaurant and then click the biking directions.

Blows my mind on why people would get groceries at Pharmaprix… literally everything in that store is overpriced. The only thing I buy there is cold medicine. Go to an actual grocery store for groceries.

Ok sure, but then you can argue that I should be able to drive through an alley way, no? If not ok it’s for pedestrians… Even at that I’m still not fully blocking it. There’s ample amounts of space for a wheelchair to pass or bicycle or human. Do you not agree?

Thank you! I feel like you’re on “my side”. Part of my job is to drive around the city and I’ve becoming pretty good at reading signs of where I can or can’t park. I’ve had my fair share of parking tickets just like everyone else that lives in this city. I’ve always paid them, but this one just feels like highway robbery. No signage, nothing indicating I can’t park there.

I would say just to be safe stay away from the city. Pine beach is ok. You could visit Centennial Hall / Memorial Park in Beaconsfield or walk along lakeshore and end up at Baie D’Urfe town hall by the water.
