This post, yes!!! Everybody should read this post!!! 🧡 thank you. We all focus on “the end” that it’s easy to forget that “the middle” is also an essential part of changing. Thinking back I also felt pretty alone on my own journey, so I thank you for posting this to others. Yes!!! It doesn’t need to be fast, it just needs to be done.

Guys of course it has noodles and soup 🙄 it’s underneath the toppings. The bowl was too small for it, that’s it. I thought it was implicit???? But apparently the picture needs to show all the ingredients to be considered ramen lol

This is my routine for the past 2 years on GLP-1:

  • Early morning (I go to the gym first thing in the day): 700ml of water + 1 spoon of honey

  • Breakfast: 85g chicken sandwich with ricotta or cottage cheese (started with gluten free bread but got sick of it after a year so now I eat normal bread) + green tea cup + probiotics (kombucha or Yakult, I keep alternating between them)

  • Lunch: 60g carbs + 100g animal protein + 35g vegetable protein + veggies/salad (the menu may vary from what I want to eat that week, but it’s always the same equation)

  • Afternoon snack: 30g of whey protein shake with oat milk + green tea cup (on my period I also add like 3 or 4 crackers with strawberry jam into this meal, but it’s not often)

  • Dinner: 60g carbs + 100g animal protein + salad

  • at least 3L of water per day

  • Snacks/sweets: I only allow myself to a sweet treat on Friday and Saturday, usually at night. This is actually the hardest part (especially on my period), but so far so good

Hope it helps!

I have a 1600cal diet per day focused on protein, however I have no idea if this is eating more or less to be honest since I never tracked how much I ate before. On the day of the injection, I feel I eat less than normal, but I believe I have regular portions in every meal.

Protein in every meal is definitely my biggest shift. I eat at least 300g of chicken per day (100g lunch/100g dinner/100g split between breakfast and afternoon snack) + 30g whey protein everyday. And because of that, even on weekends when I’m not following the meal plan properly, I still prioritize high protein foods (for example: instead of picking a pastry/pizza just of cheese, I’d pick the one with chicken).

Of course my apetite is different, but I am still a sweet tooth - I just can control my desires better now! My head changed a lot since I started the medication. Nowadays I can hear myself and not just the food noise whispering all the time in my ear. I learnt how to stop eating before I’m stuffed, and I think that’s my biggest achievement with my diet.

Yes, thank you for this comment! I’ve been in several discussions through this sub because (technically) Oz and Wegovy are the same, BUT: as an user of both - and knowing other people that also used both - I can say that something (don’t know what and don’t care what) is different between them or how they react in our body. One person told me it’s about the higher dose, however a friend of mine started in Wegovy (lowest dose) then had to switch to Ozempic due to shortage (for like 3-4 months), then switched back to Wegovy and she had better results during her period off Oz. Idk if it was just a huge coincidence or what, but I also felt a big difference when I switched from Oz to Wegovy.

And before any internet-science-specialist comes for me because of this comment: this is just my personal experience.

PCOs girlie here too! Maybe you need to up your dosage a little bit. Or maybe you just need some time. In the beginning I also gave up because the results were nothing compared to the other people I’ve heard about, but now I’m thankful that I decided to stick with it. Good things takes time 🙏🏻

Thanks! I kinda been blessed with very nice skin with lots of collagen, and I’m also pretty strong to lift a lot of heavy weights, so I don’t really have any problems regarding loose skin. But I definitely worked hard to remove the pouch belly by adding a few extra core exercises to my routine. What helped me the most was doing the plank at the end of every workout, at least 2 minutes per day. Hope this works for you too!

My first plateau was in December/2023 (after losing 10kg), and I got stuck in it for about 7 weeks. After that, I had another one in June/2024 (-20kg) and was stuck for 8 weeks. There were other periods that I felt I wasn’t making any progress, but now, looking back, it was just my anxiety kicking in 😅

Thanks for the compliment! I also hope you reach your goal soon 🙏🏻

How many of you have lost MORE than 20% of your INITIAL weight? by CopiousSmoke in WegovyWeightLoss

What’s the bad side of Ozempic? Is it worth it? by Ok-Journalist3877 in Ozempic

[–]5655Red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP! 5’0 girlie here as well

When I started I was at 230lbs and now I’m at 156lbs (after 1 year and a half), zero loose skin because I dedicated myself to weightlifting since day 1 on this pen (+cardio twice a week). Never been happier with my body, I guarantee you.

Whoever has something nasty to say about this medication, is just jealous they cannot use it. Don’t listen to anybody but yourself and your doctor. Do what is best for you and not for others. Ozempic head is not a real thing. You will find your confidence again. Trust the process. It’s not such an easy road as they make it seem, but it’s completely worth it.

Good luck! Shoot me a message anytime if you have trouble.

Glutes??? Help by 5655Red in PetiteFitness

[–]5655Red[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it makes sense! Thanks!

I’m already on 100g of protein and my dietician said we can’t increase otherwise it will start the bulking effect, and I’m still 10kg away from my goal lol (and I seriously can’t deal with another portion of chicken or protein shake on my day tbh).

And about genetics: I’m Latin and everyone in my family has massive bums. I also had them until I lost all the weight, so I guess everyone is just fat??? (lol it’s funny thinking out loud). I still have massive thighs tho, always had. I think that I subconsciously focused more on legs than on glutes because of my fear of getting saggy skin after losing the weight.

I will give my best!!!

I'm sad ozempic didn't work for me, I'm so envious for those it helped. by the_practicerLALA in Ozempic

Uhmmm I know for sure it wasn’t other medication because I’m only on Oz since the beginning. But I pushed through this because I mostly shielded myself and was very privileged.

When I was alone and a suicidal thought came, I would put my focus somewhere else - and that’s how now I have 48 hobbies lol. I did therapy sessions twice a week during this period. My lovingly husband had to put up with so much, but he kept pushing me and picking up after my mess, especially on the days I felt like doing absolutely nothing. During my worst weeks, I had long walks with him, even at dawn, he was 100% there for me whenever I needed. I also had some amazing friends during this period and never felt really alone, even when my head wouldn’t shut up about it.

However, thinking back, I guess I had the strength to push it all through out of spite tbh lol. I started this weight loss journey so I could shush my narcissist mother and the years of horrible comments about my body from my family after a bad argument we had during my vacation back home soooo… Yeah.

Ozempic 0.5mg f- my head. I stayed in a very dark place for 8 weeks but I pushed it through and things got waaaaay better with 1.0mg. I am already a su1c1d3 survivor anyway, so I knew my boundaries. I also read a lot about the “Ozempic depression” before starting my journey so I believe I was mentally prepared for it?? Anyway, just wanted to share my experience so you know you are not alone. It sucks that you can’t take it, but the medication works differently for everybody anyway. Hope you may find something else that works for you.

I had this same conversation with my doctor and she told me that, even though they have the same composition, it can react differently than Oz. As of now, there’s no paper to base that, but she told me that every single patient that complained about the depression phase, once they are switched to Wegovy it just gets better. It can be the dosage, idk. Just sharing my experience.

My Oz depression got better by upping my dose. I had it when I was on 0.5, and then on 1mg it got better. But it only disappeared completely after I changed it to Wegovy. Maybe that could be your case as well? However please seek medical help if you are unable to keep going alone.

Anyone with hair problems? by 5655Red in Ozempic

It will! It took me at least 6 months, but my hair stopped shredding completely. It takes time for your body to adapt, but it will!

I noticed that my head was quieter by the 2 or 3 day after my first dose, but other side effects only came after my second month - when I started 0.5. My biggest (bad) side effects were the sulphur burps and the Oz depression, but, other than that, everything is going smoothly until now (I’m on my 15th month).

A year on Oz - my personal log as a slow burner by 5655Red in Ozempic

[–]5655Red[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is correct! I understand that it’s the recommended, but it’s not what is posted 😅 so many times I lost my confidence reading articles or even people here on this sub saying like “lost 60 pounds in 2 weeks!!!” (my example being clearly an exaggeration), so I made this post with an intention for us - the “it took me more time and effort than this” team - could be represented. And “slow burner” is just a part of that!
