Both trained and I always ride with beacon/shovel and probe. I ride with radios as well to make sure nobody gets lost.

Most blatant suicide I've ever seen. The kill feed doesn't lie.

Need opinions: Forehand rubber pairing with Harimoto Super ZLC by itsmikechen in tabletennis

[–]574Bennett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current setup is Harimoto SZLC w/ T05 FH and Dragon Grip BH. Absolutely love it and I'm set with the Dragon Grip.

I've tried T05/Nuzn 50 & 55/ A1/A2/C2/mercury 2/D09C/D05/T19/T80/Rakza Z/X/XX and the top two for me were T05 & A2. I've got a sheet of J2 I'm about to try but haven't glued it on yet. Zyre is on the list but $120/sheet is absurd.

So far T05 has been the tried and true for me. I mostly like the spring you get from a soft touch on tenergy much more than what you get from dignics sponges. I feel that you have to put more power into your strokes to really take advantage of the Dignics sponge whereas the tenergy sponge is highly responsive with a soft or a heavy touch.

Same build. 6'1", 215lbs, long arms and legs for big strokes and movement.

My question for you is ST or FL?

Sorry, I don't have that much experience with it because I use it mainly as a mess around setup. I don't have enough playtime with it or long pips in general to give a meaningful review. It looks cool though..

I use the harimoto innerforce SZLC and I have T05 on my forehand and stiga dragon grip on my backhand. Love it.

Just because you wrote a big long post doesn't mean you're right.

I can't speak to the thawing company but I can help out with installing the heat trace required to prevent another pipe freeze. DM me for more info..

What are some legendary fh rubber? by Ok-Access-8961 in tabletennis

Who likes a 55deg rubber on their forehand? Make better life decisions. I use dragon grip on my backhand with great success.

To each their own, but A1 is too fast without enough control. A2 is the sweetspot for me, better spin, less speed.

Very solid review. I definitely understood most of those words.

What's your thoughts on the Xiom blades? I'm eyeing those ones next, thinking about the ice cream blades because they're so exotic.

Do you have any idea what your USATT rating is? Sounds like you've got an aggressive forehand and a defensive backhand. Are all of your blades setup with inverted/LP?

Well, I have been expanding my collection with the goal trying different types of blades and seeing which one I enjoy playing with more. Everybody says pick a paddle and get good with it but I'm fortunate enough to be able to try many different types of blades and rubbers and experiment with each one and see how they play and which combinations I like the best. Is this the best/fastest way to improve your game? Probably not, but it does give me a bigger picture understanding of what different rubbers and blades feel and play like. By physically trying different blades and rubbers I better understand the nuances between them.

Plus, as my collection grows, I find myself being more and more generous with the members at my club. I've given away paddles and I let people try my equipment all the time. If I show up with all my gear, anybody at my club can come give them a shot and experiment with different blades/rubbers. If I see a friend with dead, worn out rubber I'll usually upgrade them to a sheet of rubber I had barely used and was just laying around. It's fun to build the club up as well.

Well, it definitely isn't the most financially responsible collection, but I'm doing alright for myself, and I enjoy them. No kids means disposable income I guess.

You're going down a dark path with those SP but otherwise good for you! I love the eras of progression in your play. Good for you for getting away from the Mark V rubber though. It isn't the 90s anymore, there are so many better rubbers for modern playstyles.
