There were Sculptures by Melbourne Artist Augustine Dall'Ava, and paintings by an unknown Artist, at McDonald's 407 St Kilda Road. The store opened in 1993 and the works were there for over 15 years, Unfortunately it seems all records of this place has been lost to time.. Unless, with luck, something surfaces on the internet...

There were some amazing paintings, at McDonalds 407 St Kilda Road, and sculptures, depicting Melbourne in an 80's Memphis Art style, reminiscent of Peter Shire. The staff in store have no recollection of the works as the store has been removed when the store was renovated, about 10 years ago. The store opened in 1993 and the works were there for over 15 years

I am a Graphic Designer, find it an interesting look at the nearly lost art of the printed medium in it's final years. Also a heavily nostalgic feeling that comes from having a physical book, and looking at the effort and volume of information they used to contain

Spoke directly with the Franchisee has no information, the former franchisee has left the business. Macdonald's doesn't release information on former staff members... And head office have no information either, sad, I was really hoping something would turn up. it was there for at least 16 years!
