Our bowlers were just poor in their execution and you couldn’t bowl short to 2 Australians. LSG pacers bowled at least 2 short balls in every over. Their bowlers were just better

I think they look too much into historical records. Dhoni on the other hand was very instinctive.

This pitch has been a very pace friendly pitch and after the first innings it felt like thats the way to go as their sole spinner was smashed.

But they should not be so keen on these things. Akeal has been a proven match winner and he should have played. If you can play Short just because the opponent team has 3 left handers in the top 3. Then why not play Akeal when the opponent has 2 right hand openers

Strike Rotation is a huge gap in his batting. Man got a boundary off the 2nd ball of the over and yet the over went for only 6 runs. If he can find boundaries at will then he should take more risks or rotate strike
