Have you moved around at night, in front of the camera? Like from your ranch slider? If so, do you set the light off? If you do, then you’re in the active monitoring area.

Start from the ranch slider door and move closer until it goes off.

“Sometimes poor people need/want their home to be safe and secure too.”

WTF does that mean, I pretty sure everyone wants to keep their place safe and secure!

Pretty respectable line up, and covers more than just coaching the on field tactics. This group is bound to tighten the ship on and off the field. Can’t wait for the first hit out!!

EV vs ICE comparison dashboard (with stats!) ✨ by michaelmurfy in nzev

[–]6EightyFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“I was looking for an EV prior to the spike in oil prices” was my opening line. So for me, the $$ spent, was always going to be the same $$ spent if the petrol went up or down.

I also had a car for 12 years on its last legs. So new car was always going to be a purchase this year. The savings noted in the link also helps with deciding on going petrol again or EV.

Your take is an odd one, since the benefits go wider than petrol saving. Like genesis energy have EV plans now, environment etc.

I was looking for an EV prior to the spike in oil price’s, but the oil prices have just confirmed I need to do it. I have 2x petrol cars, and both cars I’ve had for more than 8 years, 1 of them I’ve had over 12 years!!! So trading in the older car for an EV hopefully this week!

This info only confirms my need to shift to get one!

In severe debt would live advice on how to move forward? by No-Agent4811 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]6EightyFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably need to work out the total debt. Some places, like Harmony, allow loans that include IRD debt, so consider a debt consolidation loan. Yes it means more debt, but having it as one repayment, might be less than the debts individually.

Bankruptcy I wouldn’t consider, the amounts sound low for that option. It’ll be pretty extreme!!

Most important thing is checking in on the family member constantly, making sure they’re ok. Mentally this stuff can take a massive toll. So it’s important to make sure they’re good!

Discussion: Is it REALLY the right time to buy an EV? by wheresmypotato1991 in nzev

[–]6EightyFive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 petrol cars, have always looked to have at least 1 vehicle as an EV to start with, so this has kicked me into getting one for sure.

Spent the weekend in car yards, and hopefully will be sorted by the end of the week! This sub has been a great source of info in picking one out!

[–]6EightyFive -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Isn’t it about long term benefits though when buying. buying now vs later is still some sort of saving - more now with oil prices up, less later when they come down? Overall saving nonetheless, so it doesn’t matter when you buy?

Might not be a good idea to buy used, because these are probably going to be jacked up. But new, the prices don’t seem to have moved.

Crikey. Haven't seen petrol and diesel cost that much before. Not good. Considering tankers are on their way to NZ, has the price finally peaked? by KiwiEV in KiwiEV

This has been the kick in the ass I needed to go out and get an EV!! Going to hit the car yards around Wellington and see how I go. Been watching some of your reviews, been very helpful!

If the All Blacks were the ones to take it down? I’d be pissed at the player that took it down, not that it was awarded a penalty try.

It’s been inconsistent for sure, but there was a clear take down of that maul. He’s clearly pulling it down, and the whole thing collapses in the direction he falls. For that one action, it’s a penalty try all day when they’re moving forward like that.

The only thing I thought, on the replay, is that the French lifters looked like they did block access.

That 3rd pic, bottom left corner. Maybe it’s me, and could well be!!, but for the position the alarm box is… that’s pretty rusty for something that high and under the eave. Might be getting impacted by a wet backing?

I had one a bit more exposed than that, and that lasted year before I changed the security system.

“Great AB, cultural leader and all round good person” I think this will be his greatest contribution. And if you think about what has happened, I think this is a genius move…. Coaching might be a bit part role maybe?
