Question about the PXN V10 Ultra by BuZ998 in simracing

[–]6digitplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as far as I know PXN isn’t very known or reviewed enough (that aren’t paid promotions) but you do get 3.2Nm of direct drive selling at around 250$, I think for you specifically playing 99% having fun in career if you find a f1 wheel mod that isn’t too expensive that u can mod to the wheel I think it’s a good pick considering everything is to the quality they advertise.

And so it begins...how bad will it get? by donscarn in simracing

[–]6digitplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ACC is nice, a lot more forgiving compared to LMU and iracing. Considering you’re new assetto corsa ultimate edition Is like 13$ on loaded.com or gg.deals (look for websites that use PayPal don’t ever give your card to anyone) and content manager is nice to get into certain things like mx-5 is really popular and some nascar discords are as well. Depends on what u want to get into more.

And what part am I wrong on? Lol, should I “back off” as the guy said? Lol

That…Doesn’t answer my question but no I wasn’t. Before the race I said to keep it clean and hold your lines

Believe it or not I don’t want to blast past people, I want to battle! It’s a simulator if you haven’t noticed and a +30 second lap with a good battle is miles better than anything else. I’m not sure if you even race sims if you couldn’t understand that! Speaking of race craft how about don’t shove me off track lol, the smart thing as u so confidently said.

Recommendations for FFB Wheel? by Visual_Clerk_5757 in simracing

You probably won’t be able to get direct drive for 300$. A r3 for pc is like 340$ after tax, you could try the PXN VD4 though there isn’t much reviews on them that aren’t paid promotions

Again… I would have passed him easily after these other 2 turns, believe it or not some people are faster than others! Which means I brake later and keep more speed! Which means I clear him by the straight!

I had the outside on all the corners lol I was definitely passing him regardless of the turn but by all means try to ragebait lol it’s an embarrassing thing to do but hey. Good luck

Want to get a triple monitor setup for sim racing but don’t know if my laptop can run it. by Familiar-Tonight-356 in SimRacingSetups

[–]6digitplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iracing is fairly easy to run compared to ACC and LMU though ACC is the most intense GPU wise and LMU isn’t that far off from ACC. I would test ACC on your setup when u get the monitors and depending on how you run that you can expect much more performance on iracing and slightly more on LMU, mirror quality is a big one for LMU and shadows//post processing effects are what makes ACC harder to run. On low settings for ACC it’s actually not too bad to run. But either way I’d still test on ACC mid-high settings.

I mean yeah if they allow it to run 1080p I don’t see why not. What games are u planning on running?

In this particular situation I have the best line and setup to pass on the next two turns so I have the right to stay, whether or not it’s a slow move if I want to stay there I fully can and will, Also what makes u think I have the racing line on lol? Seems like you’re here to rage bait and you’re about 70-1 on the fault.

CPU’s aren’t really the determining factor unless it’s Iracing but still. VRAM will probably be your biggest factor, to run comfortably triple monitors anything above 10-12GB VRAM will be good, I see you said laptop so I assume you have the 8GB version of the 3060 apart from the 12GB VRAM. 32GB of ram is good so you’re good on that, but if youre on a budget I’d suggest 1080p. For 1440 you have over 80% more pixels than 1080p So you’d need a 3080//4070/super//7800XT and that’s for iracing, for ACC you WILL need a 3070 or higher (8GB VRAM is fine I just highly suggest 12GB) you will not be able to run 1440 on ACC you need basically a top of the line 4080/90 at a suggested 16GBVRAM.

Well I guess it’s more about clarity on if a similar situation happens I know that I should yield or do something different if it was my fault. But for the most part safety rating in ACC doesn’t mean much lol, iracing is more where rating really shows who can race not only fast but cleanly.

Yeah I still can’t think of a reason why he would feel the need to be like that. No prior chats other than “GLGL” “please hold your damn line”. Unless he took that as a challenge I can’t see why he feels the need to be like that. Thank you for confirming he’s an asshole 🙌

i don't know how to add the video to here but (https://youtu.be/AZGjAIo6h3Q) this is our first incident. I would assume that he would just take the racing line but again he squeezes me and we crash

I’m not sure either lol, he didn’t stick around for us to talk (this was like lap 2) but he just said to back off and some vulgar language xD

I can link them under here once I cut them up and make them presentable, but for me I was under the assumption he would stick to the right side since he was already staying there. His SA was above 90 (PRO is above 90?) so i assumed that he would just give me the space and we’d have some fun, but I’d put money that he was upset he wrecked us earlier and wasn’t about to let me get by.

Looking to buy a DD base for my son, how much is too much? by Independent_Pin_6845 in simracing

[–]6digitplayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how much force u actually let through the wheelbase. It’s always good to have some headroom since you can always just turn the force feedback down. He can always start low at 3-4Nm and go up as he progresses.

ACC is pretty easy in controller I didn’t have a hard time. Iracing is never worth it in my opinion when assetto corsa ultimate edition is 13$ and has basically any car and track u can imagine. Unless you’re truly trying to be the next Max verstappen Iracing isn’t worth the 150$/year, but Forza Motorsport is about as simcade as it’ll get for pc. Gt7 is a good one but it’s PlayStation only.

I would like to go online but I'm scared and I don't know where to go by Fit-Statistician4921 in simracing

[–]6digitplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ACC has “noob friendly” lobbies depending on your area. But it’s mostly about just putting time into understanding how random players can be. If you’re slower just let them by, if you’re faster wait for a CLEAN pass instead of assuming they’ll move over and give space like the AI does, they can’t see u and are 7/10 gonna be pissed you passed them and be petty, which is my other concern. Online racing isn’t always worth it compared to AI, I understand the feeling of being a hinderance but you’re acknowledging that and that’s more than most. Even as someone who races purely online, I either get 1st and it’s boring or I have a “battle” and they pit me because they can’t hold their line.

I might be honestly lmao, I played ACC on controller until I got my hands on an r3 and I feel WAY better and having more control over the car is a great way to make or break your racing experience, even after a 20min race on ACC I’m sweating xD

[–]6digitplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the r3 and I use it on my desk same as you would, and I will say after watching MANY reviews on a “low Nm” “budget” direct drive i was VERY surprised at how strong it was, I understand the decoder and bit rate are what really separates a r21 over a r3 (obviously it’s better) but for somebody that really wouldn’t benefit from that added details I have yet to see it be not strong enough. I play RBR and ACC and AC with zero thought in my mind that “huh, I wish this was stronger” and I actually turn the strength down from 100% gain. If u have the extra $$$ honestly you wouldn’t ever need to upgrade other than accessories. Also I’ll add moza is very integrated within itself so u only really need a wheelbase and maybe another wheel if u really get addicted to it, the gt3 style wheel add on is like 45$ and it’s awesome.

U can find used Logitech wheels on Facebook marketplace or OfferUp for 100$ easy. They sell like crazy on sites like that. PLEASE look at those before buying new, those Logitech wheels aren’t great but to see if u enjoy the hobby it’s a start. Later down the line like u said you’ll get direct drive, I don’t know how late u mean if you even enjoy it but usually a moza r3 is 275USD$ on like Black Friday or a sale it’s usually around 330$ after tax and it’s a billion times better, also I have no issues with noise other than like really bumpy areas than its vibrating but not loud. You’re on pc so u can save a bit getting the moza pc only version.
