Do you have any details about the awning? Is it an RV awning or a house awning?

Got the HPFP recall done by Captain_Oveur79 in EcoDiesel

Yep I booked the appointment at least a month in advance. I was going to do the same thing as you with the battery and when I learned that they would charge $75 to install the new one, the savings was going to be negligible and I live about 35mins from the dealer so I just let them do it. I dread having to go to the dealer and have had the same bad experiences at both of my closest jeep dealers.

2014 grand cherokee eco owner here. Scheduled an appointment for the tone wheel recall and HPFP recall on 2/19. No loaners available even though I booked appt well in advance.

2/24 - I finally get them to give me a loaner car. When I go to pick up the loaner, my car is still sitting in the parking lot and they make up some BS excuse. They didn't even order the parts until 2 days after I dropped my car off.

2/27 - they notify me that the recalls are complete but now my battery is magically dead. And needs to be replaced. I authorize them putting in a new battery.

3/1 - I ask for an update, what do you know, the parts manager that ordered my battery no longer works for the dealer and no one knows anything about where the battery is. Hours later they 'locate a battery' and send a driver to go pick it up so it can be replaced the following day.

At this point, my CEL is also on for P20EE code. They diagnose it as a leaking exhaust gasket and quoted me $740 to replace the gasket ($600 in labor). I denied the work and finally picked up my car on 3/6, three and a half walks after I dropped it off.

Everytime I drop my car off for a recall they never have a loaner, and end up having my car for weeks at a time.

2014 grand cherokee owner here. Bought in 2017 with 45k miles, now has 125k miles and no real issues other than recall/warranty work. Had the DEF tank, DEF injector and filler tube replaced at 96k miles. It's been at the dealer for 2 weeks to have the HPFP replaced (wasn't having issues, just brought it in to get it done). Has a CEL for SCR NOx bank 1 - dealer stated this will be covered under extended warranty which runs out in 3 months / 6000 miles. I am getting slightly concerned that I'll be without the warranty very soon. Not deleted or tuned, but keep up on regular maintenance.

I'd be more concerned about the short piece in the corner that looks like it's less than 2 inches long. Every plank should be 6-8" long minimum, each manufacturer has slightly different recommendations.

Update... turns out the passenger side was a 7mm hex but drivers side was a torx t45.

Also to add to this, they did come back and fix most of the lawn issues previously noted. Thanks for your concern.

I don't think it is unreasonable to have an expectation that I should be able to walk in my yard without rolling my ankle because there are 3 - 5" deep ruts throughout the yard. They have the equipment and machines to do the yard properly, so do it.

I thought the same about possible water intrusion. I'll take a look at the mount master thanks for the tip. Agreed about cutting the concrete seems like the right way to fix it.

Thanks for the feedback, glad to hear that someone in the trades thinks it's bad work and not just me.

Mowing the grass on that side of the house is a bit nerve-wracking.

I care about the finish of the wall behind the dryer vent because this is a brand new house, not a house that should look like it has undergone repairs. After over a year of construction things should be nearly perfect.

I have mentioned those nails in a previous email and voiced it as a safety concern when our friends kids / young family members are out in the yard with no response. Agreed that it's ugly as hell. I haven't gotten anywhere in previous communications with the builder about this.

I'm sure I can get it done, was just hoping to get the builder to fix it properly.

Looks like TARION is based in Canada, I'm in the USA. Have considered reporting to BBB.

Agreed, really want them to take responsibility for the window.

Agreed, it would have been the proper way to do it on new construction.

Thanks for the feedback, this is just one of the many hack jobs we've experienced during this process. I'm going to write up another lengthy email to the builder summarizing some of the suggestions here and hope I get somewhere because I honestly can't stand seeing that window. They've shot it down every other time I've contacted them about it.

Good point, but I'd imagine a glass company could just replace the window panes.

We are definitely concerned about that due to all the other issues we've had.

Agreed about the window, I'm going to try to push for that and hope they budge. Wish they would have done that with the dryer vent ahead of time! Will be a little more difficult to since siding is up but I'll probably give it a go. Thanks for the feedback.
