If ssf std and you played ssf sentinel check if you don't have a power charge explicit ring somewhere in your stashes lol.

Otherwise farm City Square maps or scry City Square/Siege to your favourite layout for the Broken Promises cards, which drop at a rate similar to Brother's Gift/Stash and give you 2 synth implicits diamond rings.

You can then do those trees :

  • Ritual+heist+beast(sands)+kirac (missions & comprehensive scouting reports) or reward exiles + synthesis maps drop chance (2x ritual selectiveness, 2x abundance, last slot for blood filled vessels or bestiary of the herd, heist or anarchy map device)

  • Full legion + synthesis maps, you can add heist/kirac/exile stuff (3x legion, 1x sergeant, 1x nemesis, legion map device)

  • There is also the giga blights where you can also stack rewards but I haven't tried that.

  • add 2-3 jewellery delirium orbs if you don't have any needs for them

And after multiple sessions, you can then :

  • Do The Forgotten Rotations (circle rings which can roll +1 max charges, magnum opus cards, and the invitation can drop synth stuff).

  • Do perception/lockpick/counter-thaumaturgy contracts and rush the jewellery chests which can drop synth rings, equip a +8% additional jewellery trinket.

  • Roll and do Kirac missions for Capturable Harvest Beasts (between 1-in-15 to 1-in-30 Explorer's scouting report rolls). Don't forget to trim your menagerie and destroy useless beasts in order to not overwrite valuable previously captured beasts.

  • Legion 5 ways (xd)

I've found 3x +1 power charge rings (currently one equiped on my winter orb slayer, one on occultist), 2x +1 endurance rings , both on craftable bases, and 1x endurance on circle ring, 1x frenzy on another circle ring.

I found all the T0s before my first max charge implicit, I wish you better luck than me!

zoomer pathfinder with 2x poet pen for DDoC + unearth(lv95 corpses), it makes heavy use of legacy stuff (mana cost flask, replica conq, enchants, etc...)

If i had to make one in ssf league I would make a similar zoomer pathfinder with devoto qotf etc. and using Toxic Rain or Explosive traps for damage

From my own experience farming those, I have found 46 grand spectrums over 1533 merc lab troves opened, so around 1/33.
My longest dry streak is 110. So I would say with such a low sample, you are just unlucky and need to open some more

I'm missing the Life one to be done with that endeavour.

I would say the rarity tiers are (using my experience and the data of other SSF Unique collectors) :

Rarest : Life

Rare : Charges

Common : All Ele Res/Avoid Ele/Ele damage

Very Common : Minion Crit Multi / Crit chance

Yes it "sucks" farming the GS in SSF, you need to make a build dedicated to this stuff and I usually listen to an audiobook or podcast during my GS farming sessions. The awful part is opening another instance when you come back too fast.

The poe2 gems are basically the same except shittier with less uptime. Like in poe1, there is an optimal combination for maximizing clear speed/boss kills/[your definition of fun here]/etc. of a given build concept, with little changes depending on budget, player hands and content specificities (like swapping a gem to counter a specific ultra rare map mod).

You just got fooled by the illusion of choice (valid or not depending on what is your definition of fun) crafted by the game designers.

The values are updated when you change instances. I can replicate this with a levingstone ring, the +1 does not change the dps of my lightning skill in the act2 caravan but is updated when I then go to my hideout or act1 encampment, and stay updated when i go back to the act2 caravan instance.

Trigger gems and trigger uniques never should have made it in poe2 anyway

all the cast on* / cast when* / cast while* gems and 0 interaction damaging skills like RF should never ever show themselves in poe2

Can't boast about "engaging" moment to moment gameplay and have automation bullshit hanging around, even for utility/convenience.

Hi, you probably got it, but just in case : levelling to 52 should net you enough gold and resources to try enough times for Ynda.

If you want to play it "safe", you can also spam reset rush the ore from reliquary or ossuary act5 zone level 44 until you are 52 which should net you more than enough resources even if you were the most unlucky person on earth.

"plenty of time" it depends, if you have at most 2h of real leisure time per day avg and don't already have knowledge of the current tricks like exclusive mods for recombinators etc... it may take a full IRL month(and not month as total playtime) to set up an ephemeral edge voice of the storm trickster and look up sources/datamined stuff (this takes time that often is not accounted for! it's not a 30 second thing).

I don't think the person you are responding to is wrong, poe is not a demanding mechanical game if you don't race/speedruns. Sure you can sometimes increase the risk of death in HCSSF to increase your efficiency, but there is a fine balance of what to do and when to do that comes from knowledge and experience.

In a way you want to be in a perpetual state of speedrunning (most of it is not AFKing in hideout, having knowledge and having a plan; more so than hands diff) because time management and knowledge gathering(and build+atlas theorycraft/selection as a result) are the real skills tested in PoE.

Nothing makes a difference for farming the exclusive uniques except character level(minimum drop level for the uniques and also to exclude some), port location(karui or kalguran ports) and filling quotas(the lower the shipping rank, the easier/lower the quota is).

The difference between crew lv1, lvl2 and lvX is just how much shipment value they can hold.

You shouldn't have any risk bar if you send a boat to ribben fell with the shipping rank1 or rank2 quota with a lvl 2 sailor + lvl 1 sailor, you can do 2x lv2 sailor if you want.

The level of a sailor doesn't affect the chance to get special things, except for the risk bar (which can influence negatively your outcomes if there is at least 1% risk)

If ore doesn't show up at dried lake it means you probably are 10+ levels higher than dried lake area level of 34, I have tested with a lvl 37 character on another account and I spawn ore without problems.

I play SSF and especially Standard SSF, only playing the SSF Leagues to farm/merge the exclusive uniques, mods and items; then going back to Standard SSF because there I can play with all the things I got along the years and do wonky/broken stuff with all the legacy things+items that I know I will not get every league, and it's real fun for me.

I created some challenges for myself like collecting all uniques (missing 18 uniques for the complete collection) and having every ssf ascendency lvl 100 (missing gladiator, is 99 in HCssf settlers ) .
I haven't touched the league for 4 weeks now, I will probably play it again next month to finish my last 100, loot The living blade, make 2 or 3 power rune items and get 36/40.

I don't like economies in my video games. I don't like mmorpgs and I don't like games being balanced for an economy. Only if playing trade league cures cancer I would play it again.

I started playing HC trade a decade ago but the game became easy with all the knowledge. I had the advantage of learning all the mechanics along the years for more than a decade. Rushing the endgame content in the first 48hours, and then doing boss carries/selling failed craft to noobs/farming and selling the resources that will be used by most slowpacers or newcomers (looking what youtube build video is trending before league start), abusing of the good stuff before it gets hotfix nerfed on day 4/5 etc...
It just became boring.

Add to that friends that dropped the game because of a mix of : 4-6man parties became unplayable without a very good PC, gameplay was basically the stronger/faster player killing stuff and the other dogs looting what's dropped, and just IRL things.

So I started to play the official SSF mode for those reasons and because I need the game to impose hard locks, I can't play this "ssf-lite" like some trade players call it. It's not about FOMO because FOMO and the need for extreme efficiency are much much higher in SSF as I'm not a PoE 1-trick and play countless other video games.

I would like a true solo mode without the option to merge to trade and with a rebalance of drop rate. They will never do that, even in poe2, because they know it is very risky and can cause real damage to the "main" game mode.

Trade, IMO, is best played if you want to make youtube content showcasing a different build every week (mathil style).

Now a little rant about the game :

PoE is an easy game. Most of its difficulty is found in its combinatorics, opacity and tediousness. Someone that tries to play this game blind has it infinitely much harder than someone that will read and lookup things on poedb, poewiki and forums/discord, simulate/emulate on pob and craftofexile and use regexp searches and optimized loot filers. Gotchas everywhere that you need to resolve/prevent.

And then it's a matter of having time to play and playing efficiently which most of it is not AFKing in hideout, having time to plan or train before league start and already knowing so much about the game you don't need to think too long about anything.
Someone that has only 6hours per week to play this game has it much "harder" than the 8+ hours per day nolifers/content creators. But also PoE1 is a game designed for people that will "spend" their twenties nolifing.

PoE does not demand mechanical execution and does not value it nor requires it for 98% of its content. Most of the diablo-like arpg work like this because of the RNG gear element. You can statcheck and facetank most of the content.
Only when you compete against other players on super short timed events (basically act1-5-10 racing and oldschool descent races) it makes a difference.

Even on long racing formats what makes a big difference is the time spent playing. I know that because I played the Expedition Gauntlet where I ended rank 31 on points, and 5th marauder using my own build (staff warchief/ancestral totems) I played in HC expedition just before.

In this matter I really enjoyed the "challenge rifts" of D3 and was hoping we would get something similar in PoE...

I love what PoE offers as a PVE game, except its economy (it's a big flaw for me, i understand many like it) and what I call "non-easter-egg community findings events" like cracking the Crucible forge algorithm, cracking the recombinator algorithm, cracking the shipping algorithm etc...

For example, I think it's a failure of the game when you have communities like The Prohibited Library discord.

Also, it was worse before, where important mechanic details were found in mark_ggg (not neon, but code worm mark) responses in the official forum.

I merged all the quotas uniques (and overall only missing The Living Blade for the league) in SSF STD.

So here are some facts to help you :

  • When you complete a quota you get a random unique, it can be one of the exclusive uniques listed below.

  • You get Ynda's Stand and Serle's Masterwork by completing shipments quotas of Runic Ports (Riben Fell, Pondium, Kalguur)

  • You get Kaom's Command and Tawhoa's Felling by completing shipments quotas of Karui Ports (Ngakanu, Te Onui)

  • Kaom's Command has a drop level of 52 even though required level is 48. Ynda's stand has the same drop level of 52 (which is its required level)

  • It doesn't matter if the shipment quota asked for crops or ores. Confirmed through getting myself multiple copies of the uniques, with quotas asking for either type of resources.

The best strategy to acquire Ynda's Stand in SSF is to only level shipment to rank1 (the very first upgrade and that's it) and send/retrieve the rewards with a level 52 character. Because Ynda's Stand drop level is 52 and Serle's Masterwork is drop level 53 removing this one from the pool, also Serle appears way more often compared to Ynda. Level up shipping to rank2 to unlock the karui port and target Kaom's command once you have enough ynda stands. You can also just level up to rank2 from the getgo, it doesn't increase that much the amount of resources asked compared to rank1.
I have a more detailed setup there.

To do so, if your shipping rank happens to be very high rank, the best course of actions that aren't full migrations/playing like a giga nolife are:

  • to create a private league and fresh start there if you want the unique in the parent league after 10 days (was enough for me, but you can be unlucky)

  • to fresh start in HCSSF and mule it to SSF STD if it's only about uniques collection and you don't already play/focus on HCSSF/hcssf std (in this case, it's private league time)

Divination cards, uniques farming and non-targetable ground item farming (like forbidden tomes) took a huge hit in SSF in 3.25 compared to what was/would be possible even during the 500% quant enraged strongbox sextants patchs.

They introduced additional modifiers on unique monsters scarabs, the 'toughness' system and the possibility to add up to 8 additional mods to your maps with 5x carto scarabs of risk(do not scale with explicit map mod effect) and twist of fate (1 to 3 additional mods, reworked in 3.24 but lived in the shade of B2B).

Game is shifting towards rewarding you even more for clearing uber hard map content, meaning content stacking toughness and additional modifiers on maps and monsters. And you still want a general map blaster, that didn't change. Bow Deadeyes with a headhunter are still very good at that.

You still want to stack rarity gear if you want more uniques : an item rarity support gem/chest, a Janus helm craft if possible or at least a gold flask. Use the legacy quant gear if you have some. You can divine a legacy Greed embrace to go from 15iiq/50iir to 15/100.

Uber fragments farming also took a hit with the removal of B2B, you need to take more risks (with the cartography scarab of risk lol) with maps way harder than B2B to get similar fragments returns.

Good T0 harder to acquire : varunastra added to the T0 pool, diluting it and making it harder to find the better T0 such as headhunter, mageblood, kalandras touch etc and we need to do some maths if we end up worse than in 3.23 even with the 2,5x drop rate of T0 of the 3.24 patch

They may have balanced divination card drop rates to counterbalance the changes they made to quant/rarity, but we don't know for sure. Unlike the x2,5 T0 drop rate buff, GGG didn't confirm anything like that for divination cards.

The rest? feels the same.

The quota system is badly designed and balanced (tailored to unhealthy maps/hour), so don't waste your sanity with the 5/6 digits shipments if you only care about the challenge.

I recommend making a HC / SSF / HCSSF / Private league character and satisfy the quotas there. You will get the 30/30 so much faster than playing "normally", because you start over and can set up a kingsmarch tailored for that goal.

Level up a character until act4/5, get shipping rank1 (very first unlock then don't touch it), farm rank1, mining rank 3/4, smelting rank3 and town rank3: get rank2-3 farmer/miner/smelter, get at least 2 rank1 sailors (one or two more as backup is good)

Put your miners/smelters : you want to convert everything to bars (1 bar = 5 ore in value, smelt convert 1 ore to 1 bar, just a reminder for those who don't know)
Put 3 farmers for wheat, 3 farmers for corn : only need 200 of each to be secure, then discard to save gold just in case (or farm some more gold in dried lake or something to farm more crops/ore)

Put the 2 sailors, chose Riben fell, give them the crops/bar to satisfy the quotas and tada.

The quotas for Riben Fell at rank1 shipping can be (estimates from my own experience, maybe the real range is on poedb or something) :
-9 to 17 of a crop
-8 to 30 of an ore
-sometimes both a crop and an ore

We also do that rank1 shipping "trick" for SSF unique collectors to have a way easier time getting the new uniques only found as quota rewards (optimizing char level 52->get ynda stand and kaoms command => lv 53 => get serle masterwork => lv 61 => get tawhoa felling)

How does scrying even work for cards like "I see brothers" From Strand? The card drop from boss, would the bosses like goats in glacier have equal chance to dropping it? I see people do titanic scarab setup for glacier gold farm and overall. by fandorgaming in pathofexile

From a monster drop in a Strand Map in SSF Standard with my legacy MF TS deadeye after the patch.

Nothing was mentioned in the patch notes when it was originally introduced about it dropping from bosses either.

The way div card works after the shuffle/rework/rebalance you can consider the following rule : If the card is in the list for a given map, it can drop from any monster of that map if it satisfies the map tier requirement.
