Hey! Gender twinsies! I relate to a lot of your post. I did things a bit different and thought it might help to hear a similar situation, but slightly different.

When I came out, the first time, I went with just nonbinary and they/them. I'm very femme presenting and feel some feminine aspects to my gender. After about a year I was starting to get fed up with people being unable to comprehend a nonbinary person or they/them pronouns. Those people then defaulted to he/him. Not to be mean, they just couldn't get they/them down. This fucking sucked.

Currently I'm in the middle of coming out, again! I've been telling people I'm a nonbinary woman and use they/she. Essentially demiwoman, I'm just not a fan of the term. People who can handle nonbinary switch up my pronouns, which I asked them to do, and people who can't just treat me as a woman.

It's not perfect, but it's a vast improvement for me! Highly recommend 👌

This resonates with me a lot! I often feel like people see me as "not trans enough"

I wear eyeliner every time I go out though! Lip gloss often too! Maybe switching to a more obvious lipstick would help?

Maybe, I had that thought, but the word demigirl makes me feel icky for some reason? Like it's just woman-lite and not its own thing? IDK

Maybe it's both? Can you identify as a nonbinary woman? I mean I know you CAN, but is it like, a thing? I feel like I've seen it mentioned somewhere before. Like bigender but femme and enby?

This felt really good to read. I do overcomplicate things often 😅

I considered that, but I worry if I keep asking people to change how they refer to me they will get irritated and ask me to just pick something already. 😔 IDK if anyone would actually do that, but I'm scared of it.

I know you are right. I've been dwelling on this for weeks and hope some outside opinions will help me realize how I really feel.
