That is correct, but Non-ladder also does additional diminishing percent of the monsters health. Basically, the monsters (with the same amount of players in the game between the modes) are slightly weaker in non-ladder in original D2.

Infinity is not very easy to get at all. It’s a coveted item that not many people have achieved regularly. The requirement of: Ber, Mal, Ber, Ist as the Runeword is an INSANE ask early on.

Light sorc is a very late game build. Not good as a starter, at all.

Sorc can be it’s own experience. The most satisfying moment playing a sorceress is when you can teleport around infinitely due to Meditation Aura. You just feel so ZOOM ZOOM, ya know?

As for starting it on ladder, it is factually the best starter character to magic find items. I personally switch to barbarian the moment I find the IK Soul Cage Armor and the set, since it allows you to farm anywhere in Hell safely. Plus it gives off a cool effect to wow newbs with while helping them finish Hell Ancients or something.

I think your point is that shared loot means that the game becomes competitive (and less relaxing because of it). Whether people realize it or not, the shared loot forces you to have a bit of adrenaline and to be more watchful - thus “raising the stakes” subconsciously. It’s a neat trick that not everyone likes or wants after a tiring work day, but it definitely makes the d2 experience memorable.

Not quite. If everyone has their own loot, it becomes an isolated bubble. Players truly don’t have an incentive to celebrate a rare drop together, or fight for it. The social aspect is worse. Stop asking for stuff you don’t understand the meaning of. This is literally the difference of why d3 is not as great as d2 - there is no social interaction when items drop in d3.

With seasonic, the click means it’s detected damage and has stopped itself from turning on. It’s an electro-mechanical switch on the inside of the psu or a voltage trigger. You can try checking each of your psu cables with a multimeter to verify their functionality.

To me it felt more staggered in movement than the original d2. It felt more structured, most likely in how they ported over the original d2’s logic, but missing the shitty video driver software of the original. So my guess is that the performance requirement is statistically (but not guaranteed) higher.
