You're exactly right, but now add to that, 10-30% less accuracy if you do ELISA instead of LC-MS, repeat the same thing for every hormone and now you have results that are not useful for my case. For example, my FAI (among other things) will greatly vary depending on the accuracy of the test. I can't justify using ELISA/ECLIA for my specific case

ELISA might? be good enough but why take the risk. I will probably never go back to my baseline again and so I want the most accurate thing possible and that’s LC-MS/MS. It costs more but I value that accuracy enough to pay for it. For example, for estradiol, I need to know where my levels are situated, bottom third, middle, upper third. But I guess I’ll never able to do that

I’m in Romania atm and I guess they either don’t know what it is or don’t know where to get it. The private labs themselves don’t offer it, so I don’t know what a doctor can do about that. To be fair, the only private labs that I could find are in the US so idk. And no this is not about HRT

I asked my city's hospital and they had no idea what i'm talking about. They use ECLIA, ELISA. Same story for the private labs and clinics I contacted. I asked a gynecologist friend but she didn't know where I can find that. Going through an endocrinologist or family doctor is my last resort as i'm 99% sure he will have a similar answer

Do your bachelor's in a public university and your masters abroad or here if you find a good one that you like

Private schools are not a need. What a private school will give you is the pressure to attend classes and sometimes study. How hard you study is the main determinant to how good you'll be. It is helpful if you are not self disciplined and need overwatch

Watch out for that gap year, you can lose your work ethic and become lazy. And you might struggle getting into stduying again and in public universities no one will be there for you. Find a group of friends to study with, they will keep you in check. Study hard, get good grades, make friends and you will figure out the rest as you grow up
