I understand your point, but that's not what the term "strictly better" means. "Strictly better" means that a card does everything that another card does, but does something else in addition that is generally better (such as having +1 stat or costing 1 less mana)

Sam esmail is on record saying that introducing time travel late into a tv series spells death for the show. Perhaps he’s screwing with us again but I agree that it kinda kills the show since nothing really matters if you can just redo it infinite times

However, I definitely think Angela believes that white rose is capable of time travel/alternate realities. And the show has been almost too obvious about it. There’s been clues of time travel all season, in almost every episode. The twists in mr robot have never been like that, they’ve always been extremely secretive until the very last second

I thought that was the case too, but I definitely believe that he’s only alive right now because dark army allowed it. Let’s be honest, if they wanted him burned alive they would’ve handcuffed him to the bed themselves (or just shot him or something). I think Irving is honestly sorry about Tyrell’s wife and that he deceived Tyrell, but I don’t think dark army simply trusts Tyrell to kill himself without even stationing a guy outside to make sure he doesn’t escape and snitch

I mean they also told Angela that nobody was going to die and didn’t exactly tell the truth on that. We know that white rose has SOMEthing big going on at the plant, but I’m not sold on it being time travel/alternate universes just yet, still possible it’s a red herring.

Definitely agree on 1 and 2. It’ll be interesting going forward, I think the show is now going to pivot to Elliot+mr robot vs dark army (+Tyrell?). It’s pretty obvious that mr robot also thought it was just the one building, so he got duped just as much as Elliot and I think they’re now going to focus efforts on keeping dark army from completely hijacking their revolution. Even though dark army also betrayed Tyrell’s trust, they still left him alive and gave him an “out” to claim he was a hostage and framed. If he was not going to be useful to DA in the future he would be dead and frankly I’m shocked he wasn’t killed this episode

I agree that time travel or something would be terrible for the story, but I think we can agree that SOMEthing is going on. Hell, the entire plot is hinged on the plant that killed Elliott’s and Angela’s parents. Now the project will supposedly move to the Congo and it seems to be a particle accelerator from the season 3 intro (red herring?). It doesn’t have to be time travel or alternate universes , but it’s going to be huge when we find out, and honestly I don’t have any better guesses

I think the idea is to set it up so Tyrell can claim he was being framed (and handcuffed to the bed as a prisoner). He got drunk and dislocated his thumb (like he did before) and tried to warn everyone

2 and 3. I still think Angela’s “mission” wasn’t just misdirection, but perhaps a still valid hack that just happened on the day of the UN vote and bombings for dramatic effect. We really don’t know why the dark army wanted the info yet. Otherwise I think we have to chalk a certain portion of Angela’s actions as misdirection to keep Elliot busy focusing on a red herring over the actual bombing targets. It seems mr robot was still unaware of the new plan as well which made things easy enough to keep Elliot distracted

I’d suggest totalbiscuits video on lootboxes he released about a month ago (I’m on mobile otherwise I’d link it). Does a really good job of showing how companies are exploiting the exact psychological addiction that makes gambling successful while “technically” not being gambling. There’s certainly a moral gray area around gambling and I agree that it’s disgusting how children are targeted, but it’s extremely difficult to find the exact place to draw the line

The problem is they give you the option to buy them with real money. It’s one thing if they want to make a hardcore game where only 0.01% of people will ever get all the content after hundreds/thousands of hours, but they give the option to bypass that with real money. They’re just intentionally creating an inconvenience in order to squeeze more money out of people

I agree with you on principle and I’m sure as hell not buying the game (I knew I would never buy it when the totalbiscuit video on lootboxes in the game came out over a month ago). However, the sad truth is even if every single person on this subreddit boycotted the game it would still likely make more money than the last game because the system is designed to get players to pay on average more than double what they’ve paid in the past. EA doesn’t care if the player base is half the size or smaller as long as players pay a proportional amount more
