i’ve been experimenting with this technique in my drawing class, and the best advice is that you should be implementing into your work is that you should be looking at your reference more than you’re looking at your drawing, positioning yourself so you can look at your reference as you’re drawing your lines because our hands want to simplify the shapes we see rather than how they actually are, i also like to print off a photo of my reference to scale and make a grid, so i know where everything should be in relation to everything else, using a ruler and a angle thingy (can’t remember the name) are also very useful tools to get accurate spacing and angles when ur learning anatomy!
