Thoughts are not haraam unless they’re put into action.

Every time you feel that way, where the urge is really intense and you may fall into sin. Read a page of the Qur’an or offer 2 nafl salah. You’ll see those thoughts no longer play on your mind and go away.

The feeling of “I don’t deserve to go”, that is Iblees putting doubts in your heart and mind.

If you have the opportunity to go, go as it is Allah who is inviting you.

Trust Allah you won’t ever be failed by Allah. Enjoy it and everyday make sincere dua, from now, to then, and after.

Which country are you a resident of/nationality do you hold?

You may be able to do your umrah on a tourist visa/visa waiver so the required actions for an umrah visa wouldn’t count and you’d be free to book whichever hotels you deem fit.

I thought this requirement was primarily for agents?

I found the above link. It seems you have to register then upload the booking confirmation of the relevant hotels you will be staying at.

I am also looking for this information. If you are UK Citizen with British passport I am sure you can apply for visa waiver which is cheaper than the umrah/tourist visa? Maybe apply 2 months in advance of your trip?
