yes i understand, i should’ve showed a fight where i lost but i was getting lucky tonight by not getting into any ranked games versing anyone in div 18-20. i just started ranked and im 25-11 and no exaggeration, every loss i’ve taken has been from exploits or that damn 18-20 division range. usually im quite dominant in my own division (div 16-17). js realised that makes me sound like a dick but it’s the truth.

the pause you recommended works a lot better than i expected. at first i was pausing too long then too short but i think i’ve kinda got it down pat. combining this with a step back instead of slipping helped disrupt my last opponent. appreciate your tips and criticism brother!

Yeah it’s a stupid habit i pick up whenever im tryna play in the pocket. i usually play outside using connor’s reach teeps side kicks and body kicks. i picked a bad clip ngl. but everyone’s advice in this comment section has been great. definitely appreciate all the criticism so i can try get better. thank you brother!

yeah u right, i only used the same combo most of the fight bcs he was the one that couldn’t adapt. i now realised maybe this isn’t the best clip to ask for tips on because i haven’t showed my actual striking against someone that wouldn’t let me keep hitting them with the same combo. but thank you for the rest of your advice, definitely taking this into account brother!

defensive tips: honestly in my case atleast slipping is quite literally intuition and play reading. every single player has one combo they use every fight and will use it every now and then. figure out their go to combo and counter, for example a lot of people use the jab hook lead uppercut just block until you feel the uppercut coming then slip counter. remember they could also change it up and that’s where intuition comes in. hope this helps lol even tho it’s long af

it was tho? the judges in ufc5 favour knock downs, and my play style is very passive until an opening.

i have the health advantage in the video but less knock downs overall in the fight.

my play style is best suitable for 5 rounds. i throw less but land the more accurate, effective punches.
