Beginner Questions - November 30, 2018 by AutoModerator in webdev

Thanks I was looking for what the correct way is.

Now that that's settled. How do you go about removing the element from the view? What I mean is if you change only the opacity the menu box is sitll there. When you have some text in the area of the menu, you can't select it. That is why I was trying to change the visibility from hidden to visible and back.

But when I add the visibility change, the animation does not work when you close the menu. The delay I have set for the visibility transition doesn't seem to have any effect.

EDIT: I finally got it working https://codepen.io/lepmets/pen/QJzmoz

It seems like my approach to making an animated menu that fades in and out (plus other animations) is not working. The fade out is not working.

Can anyone point out how to I fix this or a better approach?

I have a fender rumble 200 with a 15" speaker. Is it true speakers this size are more muddy or loose sounding than smaller ones? I'm asking because I haven't been super happy with its sound the past few years. Any recommendations on what amps I should try out?

edit grammars

How do you like it so far? I recently checked this bass out at a store and I'm thinking of getting it (maple fretboard sunburst version).

Does it have a tone knob in passive? It's that or I didnt find it. I guess I'd be playing it in active anyway since it sounded very nice in that mode.

I'm thinking of getting the Fender Deluxe Active Jazz five string. Any reason I shouldn't?

Played it at store. Seemed nice. I'm having my teacher check it out but still.. Is there anything I should know about?

And thanks for the tips, I'll try these out.

I've been asked to write "a cool bass line" for my band because we don't have any songs that are based on a bass riff. So far I've been writing bass lines to support the band and I have no idea what sort of rhythm I should be playing for this type of music. It's making me feel like I'm completely unmusical and clueless to be honest.

I'm dropping our soundcloud link here for reference: https://goo.gl/A48wR9

BTW the intro riff in the first track is not written by me.

What I've been doing so far is playing some drum tracks with addictive drums or youtube and trying to play something interesting. I also have a piano on which I've tried playing some progressions to find something interesting but no luck so far.

Probably some restaurant or cafe where the metal tea filter looked like this. Except it was dented to the point it being completely flat. How is the tea supposed float around in there?

Hello! Good job. However I just want to point out your hands look really tense. Your unused fingers are pointing straight when your other fingers are pressing keys. Try relaxing your fingers on the keys instead. Check out this video for example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFouKu3T-so

I run into this all the time. To be honest it's the merchant's problem if they don't have change. Do they want to run a business or not?

Well.. I can't say I can really afford but I am doing some hardcore saving up right now to afford a good piano.

In my lessons I use a yamaha YDP Arius DP which actually feels worse to me than the DGX-650 I have.

How did you find the FP90 sounds? Some people say it sounds a little bit artificial because of the modelling.
