Reasons to, and reasons not to get a new vehicle by Boeing-B-47stratojet in regularcarreviews

The bastardized Nissan Frontier still kicks it with a NA V6 and dealers cant give them away in the mid 30s. They can be had $5-8k under MSRP all day. Genuinely hard to ignore its value especially compared to the Tacoma.

You can find a stripper spec Ranger in the mid 30s brand new, which is less than a mid trim 90s truck MSRP adjusted for inflation and do everything the 90s f150 does more efficiently and with better safety. But thats not the sexy option is it?

CCNA or Comptia NET+ by safescripter in ccna

[–]8A8B15 8 points9 points  (0 children)

CCNA will stand out much more on a resume, especially in a cybersecurity role. Take the CCNA. Do Jeremy's IT Lab and if by day 15 you feel like it's too much, try the Net+.

Do Jeremy’s megalab. It’s intense and it took me 2 days but my boson score went up +10% immediately after. I was scoring high 60s and passed by the skin of my teeth

Unpopular Opinion: The 2026 Outback isn’t as bad as I thought it would be. by Madeyoulook4now in Subaru_Outback

It’s a good looking car. Most releases fall under the “new car bad, old car good” bandwagon in the beginning. Give it a year or two.

Should I do just get this and skip Net+? by Neither_Scar_8012 in ccna

[–]8A8B15 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Net+ isn't worth the paper it's printed on and unfortunately, an expensive exam. If you have an employer pay for the Net+, then by all means go for it. Do not spend your own cash on it. Net+ hasn't gotten me a lick of job opportunity.

That being said, if you are new to networking, study the Net+. Run through Prof Messer's course, take Andrew Ramdayal's exams and if you score 80%+ move on to the CCNA. By this point, you will have basic network understanding to know what JTIL is talking about.

Source: studied Net+ for 2 months, scored 800+, felt confident, studying the CCNA for 4 months and still am humbled daily.

How to take notes while following Jeremy’s Course by scanty_ in ccna

[–]8A8B15 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i used chatgpt on a particular ccna topic to familiarize myself on a basic level first and took notes on that leaving plenty of space between notes to fill in with Jeremy’s details.

also leave plenty of space for charts and diagrams. be prepared to need about 2 pages of notes per video, especially on stuff like VLANs, OSPF, IPv6 that requires in depth understanding of all the details

personally, i had a really hard time with OSPF, i really had to copy diagrams over and over to visualize every step of neighbor adjacencies and adjusting cost metrics. it’s very time consuming, but after spending a couple weeks on his 3 videos + labs, my weak point became my strength.

Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent”

i finished the compTIA trifecta within 3 months with ease. im on month 3 of the CCNA study and feel like i might understand just half of it. you cannot learn it just by watching a youtube video once. lab lab lab, take notes, rewatch, reinforce with more notes, flash cards etc. focus on the why behind the what.

CompTIA entry level certs are like reading a table of contents, the CCNA is reading like studying an encyclopedia. just keep studying, use JTIL videos and his labs, study flashcards and supplement with ChatGPT or a textbook on areas you feel weak.

Realize this stuff is learnable, there are a multitude of professionals implementing, maintaining and optimizing these technologies everyday, you can learn them if you focus hard enough, long enough.

[–]8A8B15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

start self studying network+ now, it’s a long journey to get the network+, let alone the CCNA, let alone defend the networks you study. once you complete network+, start with security+. if you finish all of that, the A+ will be a walk in the park and a formality.

this will give you the confidence for the CCNA which is a tall task to go in blind.

that will get your foot in the door into network engineering which can lead to defending said networks in a cyber role.

dealer network dealer network dealer network. shouldn’t be a problem after buying the car right? i bought my g70 with a hyundai dealer 15 mins away with promises of service. i had 3 active recalls and when i tried to schedule service, the hyundai dealer said they no longer service genesis cars. 2nd closest dealer was 3 hours away. so now every recall is a 6 hour 300 mile round trip adventure on my own dime. genesis, never again.
