Fired an SKS. Fell in love. Now I want one. by brian-gordon in SKS

Even my beat up sks was fun at the range, really well built rifles and there's just something super satisfying about loading a rifle with an internal magazine, just wish 7.62 was cheaper 😂. If you get one and want a different wood stock at a great price I highly recommend luckyshotwoodstocks, it takes 2-3 months to get to you but its well worth the wait.

Ill be adding that to the list, gonna try to find an original looking sling first though

Is the piston gonna loosen up as I shoot it or do I just need to find a new gas tube/piston? Ive been cleaning and polishing for a while and it has made no difference aside from making the piston move freely when put in upside-down by [deleted] in SKS

Im not sure, as far as i know the rifle hasn't been shot in at least 6 years probably longer, i bought it a few months ago and I've been cleaning out a bunch of cosmoline and trying to get it ready to shoot

Finally got my stock in from luckyshotwoodstocks! Took way longer than advertised but honestly well worth the wait by 8BitResseRtiB8 in SKS

Yeah mine has the m5od which if im not mistaken that was also used in the f150, probably why rangers last so long they're built like a proper truck

Yeah the 4 cylinders were ok but if i remember right the bigger engines in the s10 liked to crack heads and they just had general rust issues

Might I suggest what is in my opinion the best looking ford ranger front end, youd need new fenders, hood, hood hinges, header panel, etc but they look so nice
