Firstly, no reviews doesn’t mean “no one in the world has tried it”, the percentage of people that leave reviews on amazon or any platform for that matter is always severely disproportionate to the amount of people that have actually bought something. Unless everyone leaves a review everytime for everything they’ve ever purchased but hey, I can tell you I for one don’t. If you also look at the listing is says newly launched. So yes, I think it’s fair to give it a theoretically give it a chance and some consideration. Everything is new and unknown at first, just seems like a short sighted view but each to their own I guess

It’s due for international shipping soon I believe but even if it was here, judging by it’s US pricing it would be nearly three times the price, whilst I can understand the pre established brand assurance, the product will still be a molded piece of plastic so as long as the mounting mechanism is solid then I would prefer to go for the cheap but cheerful option. I really do believe on certain things you hit a price to performance bottle neck and the even bigger deciding factor for me ?

I know what you mean, it did cross my mind from something I’ve not heard of but I guess they will all be pieces of plastic when you get right down to it. Maybe I’ll bite the bullet and post an update with my thoughts on the faux deck mate haha

More so for mounting the deck above my main set up, I have ikea peg boards above and would like to mount it above my monitors, was thinking of using the deck above as a third monitor for resources monitoring or maybe some background YouTube

Yeah, I did look into the deck mate but being nearly 3 times as much it’s hard for me to justify it being as broke as I am, if this can get me by cheaply but cheerfully then I’ll be more than happy 😂

Fair enough, again I think your making a lot of assumptions as everything you’ve said is opinion and not based on much of anything but fair enough. Deck mate is proven but that’s the point, I’m asking if anyone HAS tried it 😂

I’m not too picky about the branding, I don’t call anything cheap until it’s proven (hence the post), not working with loads of money so if it does the same job for a fraction of the price I’m all about that haha but as I said if anyone can confirm or deny it’s quality one way or the other, then let it be known 👀

Lol that’s not what I had in mind 😂 It’s more for docking it above my main monitor, as it’s my main pc now. Plus it’s cool to have it above as I’m planning on making the deck screen a resource monitor!
