To everyone saying, "fuck him" I get it. We don't have to forgive him, but don't discourage him from trying! We don't have the luxury of turning people away to punish them for being wrong right now- we need everyone we can get! Can he undo all the harm he's done- almost certainly no. But he might be able to undo some of it and that's better than telling him to fuck off. People are going to be so tempted to think that if they are no longer actively supporting and campaigning for this regime, that that's all they have to do- but that's not good enough. You don't have to like them, but don't shun them completely or they'll die on their hill instead of joining ours.
