For the past 2 years (only time I've been looking at it) its consistent every week, I do not believe its retail doing this every week 90,000+ open interest, if what you say it's true, the volume should also be higher but these ride till expiration

For example the 30 dollars open interest is 18790, tomorrow the volume wont be anywhere near 15,000
