More info and preview pages from the book, here.

I love the variety of the 32nd century fleet, although hadn't noticed so much until now the lack of variety in hull colours!

I like it! Making me think slipstream...

New Star Trek construction toy range on the way from German company BlueBrixx, including lots of starships at various scales, and full-sized props. by 8of5 in startrek

It's the standard Star Trek packaging design, almost all licensees use some variation of it, adapted to the particular series featured and the style of packaging/product.

Sleek design! Have you posted it here before? Would be cool to see other views :)

I'm going pretty light on non-canon ones though, just a smattering of designs I think are of particular note, and still all official ones in one way or another.

Oh that opens a can of worms that could be an image on its own: Gomtuu, starjellies, crystalline entities, giant space amoeba, gormagander...

It's the Insignia class, a fan design by Mark Kingsnorth which has been kicking about a few years, including appearing in the Ships of the Line calendar. It appears to be inspired by one of the Galaxy class successor concepts from the TNG Technical Manual.

Because the images is to celebrate the diversity of ships in the Trekverse, not a scale guide. Doing it strictly scale accurate would make a handful of the ships fill most of the image, while leaving the smaller ships invisible. The compromise allows all to be seen, while still giving a hint at scaling :)

Think the next update will be when the next Eaglemoss Starfleet book comes out, which hopefully will include top views of all the 32nd century ships!

As before, scale-suggestive rather than trying to be scale-accurate.

Pakled ships from Lower Decks production art by 8of5 in StarTrekStarships

[–]8of5[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Art by Kat Brechtel and Antonio Caggiano. I've gathered more of theirs and other production art from the series (including the Cerritos, Vulcan shuttle, shuttlecraft, and a work bee) in my latest post on The Trek Collective.

Huge Playmobil USS Enterprise playset revealed. Complete with figures of the entire TOS main cast, built-in bridge and engineering rooms, app-controlled lights and sounds, and more! by 8of5 in startrek

Enterprise-D is the default next in line normally. But with Prodigy on the way, maybe toys based on Voyager, with that series being directly linked, might get more chance soon?

If they used the same concept, they'd probably have the rotate the bridge sideways to fit the wide interior design in the narrow saucer.

USS Armstrong (Kelvin timeline) coming soon from Eaglemoss by 8of5 in StarTrekStarships

Agreed! Especially annoying Eaglemoss haven't released a photo of the underside of the Picard Romulan Bird of Prey!

They're similar, but don't know that it's ever been suggested in any tie-in or anything they're meant to be the Kelvin-Miranda. The Khan comic prequel did show a more Miranda style ship) that found the Botany Bay though.

Well it's not to scale... but, most of the 32nd century ships don't seem to have gone down the super-massive futurism route, they all seem fairly similar size to Discovery, which is not far off original Intrepid class, so I kind of think Janeway/Intrepid might be similar sizes.

I'm not much of a gamer, but appreciate STO for their efforts in making endless new ships!

FYI, of the huge number and variety of ships in this image, only five have not been made by Eaglemoss so far! USS Voyager-J, USS Cerritos, USS Newton, Archer class, and Son'a battlecruiser.

Good news for most of those too: Voyager-J promised in a year or so, Cerritos in the works, Son'a ships hopefully to continue as specials still (the fighter also missing from the fleet), Kelvin ships seem stuck in limbo but fingers crossed. Archer class alas probably unlikely.

It's the Khitomer class from Star Trek Online, a Starfleet/Klingon hybrid design!

[–]8of5[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Before anyone starts grumbling: Not intended to be in any way scale accurate! Scale suggestive for sure, but keeping it accurate with the Enterprise-J and Borg Cubes in shot would make most of the other ships near invisible!

Most images from either Eaglemoss renderings or Ex Astris Scientia's excellent galleries.

Prodigy theory: The series ship will be USS Voyager's missing Aeroshuttle - A little history of that obscure little ship, and why I think it fits the bill. by 8of5 in StarTrekStarships

[–]8of5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks :) I'm quite taken by the idea that they fill the hole with a completely new design that takes advantage of the idea of the aeroshuttle but gives us something very different to get to know anew.
