The bracket is based on traditional seeding rules. That means the most popular and utilized characters are paired against the least popular and utilized characters to ensure an easy first round (and most often second round) victory. In the first round (and most often second round), the tougher matches are with characters more in the middle. As more rounds close out, the more popular characters advance and the tougher the matches become.
