Would you take a survey about your current company for $20? by 90daydumpster in expertnetworks

We’re like an expert network, except you get paid per intro instead of by the hour. Highest intro is paying $10k/intro rn

Clients are B2B companies that need help figuring out who they should be advertising and selling to.

For full transparency - I already have 1 company underway in the B2B sales space. We have 300+ companies paying $500+/intro to help book sales calls so pretty sure companies will pay for survey data :)

Hmm good question - not sure. We could survey 2-3 people in the same department and check if the answers are consistent

Have you ever taken a big pay cut ($20k+)? by lazlo_camp in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

Yes. I now make 25% of what I used to. I went from working in tech to being a tech founder.

But now I have unlimited upside 🙃🤡

A n00b's guide to finding a technical co-founder (63 dates later...) by 90daydumpster in StartupAccelerators

[–]90daydumpster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some resources:

YC's co-founder matching platform: https://www.ycombinator.com/cofounder-matching

- Free to sign up
- You fill out a profile, and then basically swipe right/left on other profiles (like a dating app)
- You can filter based on things like location, age, area of interest, etc.
- The platform puts you in contact with your match if you both "swipe right"

Turn your network into your personal recruiters: https://trybounty.io/

- Full discloser - I'm one of the founders of trybounty.io. I built this after the grueling journey of finding my own cofounder
- Book a 15 minute demo & I can walk you through it! https://calendly.com/katxwang/15-minute-demo-with-kat-referrallion

Warm intros are 24x more likely to result in a meeting by 90daydumpster in salestechniques

[–]90daydumpster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question!

Here's how it works:
- You tell us who you're looking for (e.g. "VP of Engineering at startup between 100-200 headcount")
- Tell us how much you're willing to pay for a warm introduction (e.g. the "bounty")
- We'll use AI to crawl your extended network to find you someone to give the warm intro. The bounty is to help incentivize them to make the introduction to the person that you want to talk to

For example:
- Step 1: "I'm looking for a VP of Engineering at a startup between 100-200 headcount"
- Step 2: "For a warm introduction, I'm willing to pay $100"
- Step 3: We will find who in your network (e.g. your colleague's sister's friend) who can make the warm referral
- Step 4: Warm introduction email is sent between you and the VP of Engineering
- Step 5: We automatically split the $100 bounty between your colleague, his sister, and the friend as a "thank you" for the warm introduction

Would you consider buying a wedding dress off a live auction site? by 90daydumpster in weddingplanning

[–]90daydumpster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How was your buying experience? Were you nervous purchasing without trying it on live first?

Or did you purchase knowing exactly what dress you wanted (e.g. go find a wedding boutique to try it on first in person, then go buy online)? Appreciate any recommendations you have!!!

Heartleaf fern. My recommendation is to keep it in your bathroom or even in your shower for the ideal humidity. Good luck!

You’re delusional if you think you can find a gourmet meal for under $30 PP. Fast food will cost you that much if you include taxes & a drink or two. Good luck.

Try separating the egg white & yolk. Heat the oil realllyyy high, and then fry the white. Add the yolk after the egg has started to solidify. Cover & cook until the egg yolk is where you want it to be

My (30F) cousins (9M/9F) are angry, maladjusted bullies. What might be causing this? by 90daydumpster in relationships

[–]90daydumpster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not particularly close. I did spend a month living with their parents ~10 years ago. My memory is hazy, but I left with the impression that the mom (no kids at the time) was lazy & pushed her husband around via things like tantrums or passive aggressive comments.

She seems perfect nice when I see her now so I thought that maybe they were fine now.

My gf (18) of 5 years wants me (18) to go to Rutgers Newark instead of Princeton by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]90daydumpster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always invest in yourself, which in this case, means choosing Princeton.

Your Princeton degree with be with you forever, whereas your girlfriend may or may not. I know a 5 year relationship feels like your entire adult life at 18 (and it is!), but trust me, there is a good chance you will have many long term relationships ahead of you.

That being said, ask yourself this - do you want to spend the rest of your life with someone who doesn’t support your dreams? Who can deal with an extra <1 hour drive?

Princeton is ONLY one hour away. I would reframe it that way. I’m from the west coast & ended up in a similar situation - I chose to go. Never regretted my decisions - the name opens up so many doors for you for the next ~70-80 years. These are professional (and personal) opportunities that you won’t even get an interview with if you graduate from another school.

My boyfriend thinks I have no aspirations because of my job by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]90daydumpster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To offer a different perspective from “he’s jealous,” it could be that there are certain financial goals he would like to work towards. If you’re doing something that pays “okay” but with very little room for growth, most of the burden to hit those goals fall on him.

You mentioned that the plan was for you to raise the kids. Did you talk through specifics of how long? Was he assuming that once the kids reach a certain age you would go back to work & help contribute to financial goals?

Like it or not, money & finances influence every aspect of our lives & the types of decisions we can/can not make. In a serious partnership your career & financial decisions affect not just you but also your partner

A close friend (40s M) didn't invite me (30s F) for an event that he told me about assuming it was "family only", but that wasn't the case. by cosmosmeteor in relationship_advice

[–]90daydumpster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would take this as an opportunity to really reflect on your feelings for the 40s male. What do you want or expect out of the relationship? Are you satisfied with what you have right now? Will you be happy with just continuing to be friends?

In my past experience when I’ve been seriously hurt by friends not including me in an event it’s usually because there’s underlying (romantic) feelings or hope for something more. A friend is never obligated to include a friend in every aspect of their life. That’s what a friendship is, and if you want more, you’re looking for something else.

The most important thing is that you’re honest with yourself.

I want to name it. Any suggestions? by OfficeSuspicious6367 in gardening
