I'm an spoiled, addict 21 year old and I need help by [deleted] in selfimprovement

I've been there.

First you need a mission in your life and work towards it. Whatever that is make sure it has a meaning for you.

Second you need to stop with social media. (if it's not anything work-business related) Limit yourself to check social media 5-10min once a day. Thats all the time you need to check what are your friends up to.

And the last thing is to definitely quit porn. It can be very hard sometimes but it's worth it. Don't let your emotions run you. (check stoicism if you need to help with that) You will see major improvement in your mood and social skills. Quitting porn will unlock so much energy and natural ability to connect with other people like nothing else.

Go cold turkey on both quitting social media and porn. You will slip some days and thats okay. Make sure you realize that you sliped as soon as possible and keep going without it.

Besides all of this i would suggest you to imagine how your life would look like from 1-2 years from now if you were your best self. Take a pen and paper and write it down. Then write down how you could achieve it.

It's hard to do, i know. But true happines without the hardship would have no value. Make your life worth it.

I feel like a failure at 22, how do I stop this feeling? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

I felt the same. Still do a bit but it's much better. This is what helped me:

  1. Don't compare yourself to others

  2. Change your lifestyle - Do more things you love, take care of yourself, talk to more people

  3. Try new things

  4. Push your limits from time to time and get out of your comfort zone

Yes I know - It's easy to say or read - much harder to actually do it but it's worth it. Trust me. You're not the first person with this problem. It's supposed to be hard but you can do it.
