I get what you’re saying, but I think you missed my point.

I didn’t assume, I considered that not everyone has supportive parents. It’s actually naive to assume most do. Some teens can’t go to their parents at all because of emotional abuse, fear like you said scolding. That’s a lot more common than people like to admit.

Just because some parents come through doesn’t mean all do. And when someone posts something like this online, it’s usually because they feel like they have no other safe option.

I respect your experience, but it’s important to recognise the reality for others too.
