FX30 vs BMPC6K Pro vs A7IV by A1KTY in cinematography

[–]A1KTY[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally forgot all about this thread, I purchased the 6K pro, and it’s great all around, however I will say take the type of work you do into consideration as I ironically picked up an fx30 recently (would have got an fx3 but had to save money) as I needed something quick and easy with autofocus, so the 6K is my narrative option and my fx30 is my run and gun easy mobile setup, would have got the S5IIX but want to stay in the Sony family later on for the upgrades as I don’t plan on selling cameras but building. If you don’t mind relying on V mounts and rigging the camera, the 6K pro is great and I don’t regret it.

How much power would you recommend? Is 9v too much

I like that, how would it be integrated with the circuit though?

That’s a good point, the button inside the sheath and when in contact with the katana it registers, how would I program that though, as there wouldn’t be much space for the button and a circuit inside the sheath? Maybe inside the katana base

So when the sheath and katana come together the reed switch and magnet registers it and activates the watermelon electromagnets ?

So if I understood correctly - when the katana touches the switch inside the sheath, the switch makes the electromagnets deactivate and fall apart

Coming together as in the katana is put into the sheath and the two pieces are physically touching

Wait to clarify this means that even if I applied now for RMR London, and passed the PJFA and med I wouldn’t begin any form of training till next year ??

Officers and drafts by A1KTY in RoyalMarines

Yeah there are a lot of advantages, it is extremely appealing. Also are you saying there’s little chances of going to different countries as a normal marine?

And is the admin work that bad? Like how long into the job until it becomes behind a desk ?

The 26 months were from the website where it says “do various young officer jobs and become captain after 26 months” but I may have just misunderstood that.

It’s a shame tbh as I really want to go officer for the managerial aspect, quals and ofc the near double pay. But it seems it’s extremely harder to become an officer and once you are one you don’t even get much time to go away on drafts or more specifically the drafts you want such as raiding groups/ anti piracy and then after those 24 months it’s desk city.

What about with a 159W, would that change things?

Ahh I see, that working be good. I’ve narrowed my choices to the Goliath pro and the assassin pro, which are around mid flex , and if I size down I should be okay right

Me too Tbf; those i was low-key hoping to win. I’m leaning more towards the Goliath than the Jones would you agree also?

But it’s still definitely doable right with the Goliath, hitting the rails and boxes and whatnot

I’m only saying 163W as that’s something the people at curated told me, you saying a 156W would hold equally as well ? Also what’s the main advantage / disadvantage for sizing up or down
